yes I remember seeing these two monkeys going around I use to call them rag doll boy's,

I remember Joven Clarke got hit twice in one game on a kick return and knocked on the ball twice in the game, and the other team would just pick up the ball and score......that just was it for me......he was just like a rag doll the players would just throw him around like one in tackles...same with roy bell

Mark Minichello was f**ken hopeless for us. He'd drop the ball for fun during his time with us not to mention his awful tackling at times.

Yeah he was a bludger of the higher order.

But he did break Sonny Bill Williams leg a couple of times and score that try v Penrith.

He racks off and plays like a demon.

He is one of what I call "the unforgiven"

We need a thread on that too. Players who were bastards...

Chris Walker springs to mind.
Ashleigh Harrison...maybe.
Craig Feild racked off to Manly.

See players like Hookey and Peters may have been average, but they tried hard and because of that, they dont deserve too much of a flogging here.

Same with Thompson. He had no natural ability or flair, but he had a go.

Ended up at the Panthers.

I suppose Mario ended up with the bears. But lets be honest, we offered him crap. All those years of loyal service and we speared him hard. We stomped on him like there was no tomorrow. The greatest rabbitoh of all time.

I suppose I would call him, "the forgiven" Maybe Wingy is one too.
Frog and Manese qwould qualify. Hegs for sure..

I dont think you should put Ash Harrison in with that group Dave, the bloke never stopped busting his guts for us and at times was the only shining light during some very dark seasons.
Initially i felt betrayed like everyone else when he went to the roosters, but looking back, you can understand why he did. Its a shame he wasn't on board when the new regime came, he might still be here now.

Yeah, I hear and understand that Matty, but he said in a very public interview that the reason he left was "to play in the finals"

That was pretty disrespectful I thought. No need for the boot Ash.

Of course we went on to the finals that year.. and he didnt.

I dont hate him but I cant like him.

But you beg to differ, no problem there.

I will be asking Rossy about his statements from a few years ago. I wont be rude or nasty etc, but I want an explanation.

I will report my findings here.

I remember that whole wanting to play finals footy comment as well. When Souths made it without him, i'll admit, i did have a good laugh at his expense.
None the less, he is probably my favourite player to represent our club post re-admission. Im happy he has found success elsewhere too.

Excuse me my good friend and fellow Souths fan, may you please remove Shannon Hegarty from this team as I do feel that he is too good to even be mentioned with these horrible useless hacks. I must say that you are doing a wonderful job in your new role and long may it continue :)

Thanks AM, thats better.

At your insistance I will take Hegs out.

FMD, I don't remember half those guys. I guess thats the sign of truly useless footballers. When even the most devoted fans can't remember you.

If that whole side were to play NSW cup they'd pretty much be the worst in that comp as well.

We have truly had some clangers play for Souths over the past few years haven't we...

But its all about respect Matty.

At the end of the day, thats all that is left.

He had the chance to go out gracefully and with dignity, but sadly and stupidly, he chose not to.

So for mine anyway, I dont respect him.

He did not wear the red and green.

Thats a waste.

Hegarty did have a propensity to rush out of the line and expose his winger. But out of dummy half, especially in our own half, he was one of our best. We have far too many talented outside backs coming through the U20s to see hegs back at the club. But he shouldn't be on the list and I thank him for his services to greatest club on earth.

I cant find any reason to bag any player/s who played for our club.
Sure there were different levels of ability & some were lucky to be classed as 1st graders let alone Rabbitohs but they wore the red & green & represented the club i love so i will respect them for that.

Sure we had some lean years with some footballers who were lucky to play first grade but they all wore the beloved jersey of the mighty Bunnies so to me they deserve to be respected just for that reason alone.
