Would roosters have won without SBW?

You would have definitely challenged, but Sonny gave you that real cutting edge to get you over the line; on the field and off the field. In saying that, you could have bought two great players with the SBW money and still won the premiership...

STFU Merkin the roosters easily had the best squad in the comp on paper. Dont remember mny experts picking roosters to miss the 8. Robinson is no doubt a good coach and could become a great one but he is far from it at this point considering what the likes of bennett, bellamy and hasler have achieved

Faaark of mate, Roosters were rabble, rejects and a few kids With a virgin nrl head coach and a premadonna that hadn't played for 5 years... :crazy:

Lol before the season no one gave us a chance, paying $25 at the TAB.

Got smacked first round "oh they're pretenders, SBW is done"

Lost to shit teams like NZW & Raiders "they can't win games they're favourites for"

Lost to Storm "they can't beat the better teams"

Win the GF and now every merkin and his dog says we're invincible :lol:

Amazing the difference a comp makes isn't it?

As soon as we won everyone believes we must be over the salary cap :lol:

Has bennett ever won a premiership with a bad roster, or bellamy? Or do u think the likes of langer,walters,renouf,lazarus,sailor,lote,webcke hunt and co helped bennett, and players like slater,cronk,folau,inglis,smith were just average for melb.

Bellamy had the best players to choose from in nsw and couldn't win origin.

Bennett, Bellamy, Hasler have done it for years...proven themself time and time again. You need good players to win titles, its the coachs job to find these good players and get the best out of them.
Robinson has been here for one year...ESL doesnt count.

Yep it happens every year, every man and his dog is saying things to the effect of ?they can?t see how this team won?t go back to back?. People need to look at the history of this competition, in any given year teams fall and rise dramatically. The premiers statistically have a good record the following season albeit without winning the comp. I give us as good a chance as any recent premiers to win back to back but it relies on a number of factors throughout the year

Before last season we were a team full of nuffy nobodies, an overrated halfback and the devil incarnate in SBW who had mild talent. Now we have the best talent in the history f the world and must be over the cap...

I'm thinking you don't know much about Rugby League in general and even less about the Roosters.

Robbo is our head coach and Peter O'Sullivan is our head recruitment officer and both are doing a magnificent job.

It was not the purchases that impressed me more last year, it was the improvement in players like Pearce, Friend, SKD, JWH, Guerra, Cordner, Mini etc who were playing like busteds under Smith. Our game plan, our structures our impenetrable defence are all the work of Robbo and his team. To try and lessen the value of that demonstrates you have no f**king idea what you're talking about.

Where did I say he wasn't a good coach you imbecile. I said he needs to demonstrate his coaching ability in changing conditions for the next 5 years plus to be recognised in the same category as a bennett or bellamy.

Smith did take you guys to a GF in 2010 so its not as if he was a bum either.
