Yes but I'm having second thoughts on the Knights going after Stringer. He was terrible last weekend. He had a back injury, and sometimes they can be very hard to come back with. Hopefully he does(no matter who he signs with) but I wouldn't sign him until he has shown he's back to full strength.

franze this year has been very poor and i hope that its not because of his injury last year. he hasnt come close to being a standout in premier league.

Essentially I've just taken all the potential signings you've included and sacked them all before they arrive. The current side is fine -- I think we just need to keep players on the field. I don't know how buying injured players or otherwise shoddy past-juniors is going to solve our problems. We need fit players.

Ennis will leave... :(

We would prob end up with *gulp* Jamie Fitzgerald there instead...

If so, that is an OK team.... don't know if we will press to win it though, unless they pick up their form......

ok mate we dont buy neone and therefore our depth is even worse!!!!!! What will u say when they get injured cos u know they eventually will. WAKE UP!!! Ennis is gone!!! I guess if u guys r happy not being in the top 8 next year then that side is great.

* Get rid of deadwood eg, Quigley, Smith, Price, M. Kennedy, Tanner, Hall,
Carmont, we could a lot better players in those positions.
* Depth!!!!!!!!
* U guys are way 2 harsh and quick 2 flick the guys that get in first grade eg Rusty
the guy tried his ass off and u bag him week in week out as well as Witty, what
is Matt Kennedy and Andrew Price better???????? Get off it!!!
* Why do u think other teams r successful, like Bulldogs and Roosters??????????
because they buy players they can be turned into quality.

Rusty was awful this year. I don't give a rat's arse how much he tried, he never broke the line and never looked threatening in attack. His defense was sometimes decent, but that's not really enough to keep you in the run on side. At least the likes of Carmont, Quinn etc. can break the line from time to time.

Witt hasn't been as good in five eighth as he needs to be. Maybe some time training with Joey in the off season could improve him, Lord knows it did wonders for Kidley.

I don't know where you get the idea that MK isn't worthy of his spot in the top seventeen. Like Richo, he tries his arse off, and unlike Richo- he achieves something by doing so. His defence is consistently good, and while he could do with some finesse when carting the ball up, at least he's made an impact in the time given to him by Hagan. Price as one of our more consistent top tacklers when he was still playing starting football for us too.

I do, however, agree that we can't sit on our backsides and expect this year's side to fire. Full strength, maybe, we're a top four side without BK, Tahu, Robbie O, and Ennis. In another year, with most of our squad getting older and most of our young guns either too young or too mundane- we'll be screwed.

I'm not sure whether or not Franze, Stringer, and Bird provide us with an answer- but I'm sure we need somebody. We haven't made a decent signing since BK/Parsons at the end of 1999- while almost every other side is always active in their recruitment. We need to be too, and we can't just rely on our young guns and Seage/Witt maturing into world class footballers.

Get over it pal. Wholesale changes arn't the way to go. Just because the money is there and theres players on the market doesn't mean you have to make purchases.

The way you go on about signings there would be 5 new players every year. Thats not the way to build a top 8 team.

You also think the backline Oswin named is slow. Paul Franze is in Premier League because he is as slow as a mule. Most prop fowards run laps around him.

Riley Brown is improving rapidly and is the obvious choice for lock next year. In his Flegg season in 2003 he scored at better than a try a game.

I think we either need to keep Tahu of find at least two more backline players - one who can play fullback.

You want to keep a bloke like Witt who has done less than f**k all with the opportunities given to him, but get rid of Carmont who has averaged 2 tries every 3 games he has played this year?

Franze has potential I agree, but if he cant cut it in 1st Division for the Sharks, is he going to come close to getting into the top grade here? I also agree Lowrie will make a great Lock and we dont need Bird - however Ennis will make an even better Lock and he is a must for the future of the club.

How does getting rid of deadwood as you call it, increase our depth... especially when Carmont is our equal top tryscorer...and fast (another thing you want apparently). Hall has been fantastic for us this year and so have Kennedy and Price...I do agree with Smith and Quigley though...

But seriously where exactly do you think we're getting the money to but 3 players from???? Theirs probably enough for one, 2 tops.

And another thing Franze is sh*t since his injury...I know he's a local junior, but everyone, GET OVER IT. He's past his best, he's struglling in reserve grade for christ sake...didn't we learn anything from signing Richardson???

He has the worlds best centre and a very good prospect in the other vacant position, so yes he prob would make first grade at centre at alot more clubs.
