If we ever get everyone back on deck at once, I would go with this side........
1. B. Stewart
2. Matai
3. Bell
4. Lyon
5. Hicks
6. Monaghan
7. Orford
8. King
9. Ballin
10. Kite
11. Menzies
12. Watmough
13. G. Stewart
14. Burns
15. Rose
16. Bryant
17. Hall
Robertson very unlucky, but I had to get Matai in there somewhere and I don't see him as an option in the backrow (even off the bench). Matai can come off his wing and do his excellent dummy half scoots.
As much as I love Burns tenacity, I think Monas offers more creativity in the halves. My only concern is that Monas will need to be prepared to play second fiddle to Orford in the playmaking (and short kicking) stakes (something he couldn't quite come to grips with in early 2006 resulting in the pair getting in each others way).
Burns will still play a big part off the bench, both at 5/8 and dummy half at various stages.
Des will probably keep Willow in the 17 somewhere, but I like Glenn Hall's ability to cover prop and if required, second row (not that Menzies, Watmough or G. Stewart need a rest all the often) so he gets the nod from me.
I also would still like to see us experiment with Bell on the left and Jamie Lyon on his preferred RIGHT side.
