Would you take back Fergo on a reduced contract?

I know it’s only round 2 but I’m worried about the Eels backline as a team with Premiership aspirations this season. I went off Opacic last season with how little impact he had with the ball in hand. Simonsson’s start isn’t looking too crash hot at the moment either. He seems to have all the defensive deficiencies of Fergo without the finishing ability. He got over the line last week and this week but couldn’t land the finishing blow. Fergo was a master at that. I heard Buzz Rothfield say that Fergo is back in Australia but we aren’t really interested. What does everyone on here think about that? I thought when he and Waqa Blake were separated they went alright last season. Would he be worth getting back at a reduced 1 year contract? He’s still only 31 and I would say he’s a better player than Simonsson at this stage and it would allow Waqa Blake to return to his preferred centre position. I don’t think we can win a competition with Opacic as one of our centres and I think it would be good to have some experience considering two of our backs are only 19 years of age. There’s also the question of how Sivo will be when he comes back from injury. Who do people see as our current strongest back 5? Mine would be

2 Sivo
3 Penisini
4 Blake
5 Russell
Is that back 5 good enough to win a competition or do we need to add some more experience?

No thanks we got as much our of Fergo as we probably could have asked for. And he didn't disgrace himself off field while he was at parra which was a miracle in it self.

We also gave Corey Norman 8 week suspension and 20k fine for drug possession

We got the best out of him. More rocks than diamonds back end with us

We never should have let him go, imo.

Watching Waqa yesterday - as good as he was in attack -, it's pretty obvious that he either does not communicate with his defensive partner, or does not trust them; Opacic had his man covered several times, and Waqa came in anyway, leaving us short on his side.

Waqa Blake is great with ball in hand but the Sharks were able to pin us down in our 20 a few times because he refused to catch the ball on the full.
