I really don't know. But even if they thought it would mean a 10% drop, I doubt that the network would give it a try. They're just playing it safe.

They should though, if they've never been given a run then they should at least find out for sure how they rate.

Saturday night.

One of the few times 9 has done Saturday Night Football.

But not the only time they have been on free to air.

Could have sworn that they had a couple of ABC games on Saturday arvo. But still, that was also in '95. Nothing since then... disgrace!

Channel 9 are showing a lot of incompetence for the past 5 or 6 years and they are not giving those clubs like NTh QLD, souths, warriors and melbourne any chance of coverage on free to air! imagine those fans without pay tv and they have to travel 200km to watch their team plays!

hmmm there's a thought too

Sponsors of clubs that don't get Free to air games must be spewing. FTA TV would be the best value they'd get out of player jersey sponsors, etc.

I wonder if this means these teams get less cash from their outfit sponsors.... sounds like a vicious circle for those teams
