How confident is everyone as sharks fans ?

what odds would you take on the sharks to win the GF ONCE they make the finals ?

Would you take the odds on them to win the GF now ?

They are paying $71 to win the comp, so I am just wondering how confident everyone is of them going well in the finals SHOULD we make it ?

$1000 into it brings a return of $71000 , better than bacnk interest !

I'd be inteested on peoples views, if the finals were tomorrow, what price would you want on the boys to win the thing ? 10/1, 12/1, 20/1 etc etc ?

I think that if we make the finals, the Sharks will really step up...... And go almost if not all the way this year.

I just think that after the way that everyone calls them chokers, they will be out to prove something.....

Plus having Noddy comeback from a long stint on the sideline, he will be so fired up when he finally gets back out there......

i wouldbt put more than 20 on them but you never know i was thinking the same a few days ago- what if we did win the GF if we made it in the finals

thats usually the formula with us one shit match and we get fired up and win the next match whoever the opponent but then we get too confident and slack off and lose this has happened on numerous occasions this season. i think we just need to get on a role and then we could do well

Id love the Sharks to be Odds On to win The GF, but even if you gave me 1000/1 to win it, i wouldnt take it. Not when your leaking over 30 points per game. Defence wins big games & Sharks dont have it, its simple as that

We just have to come out and dominate in the forwards and let the backs do the rest.

We have done it before and can do it again.

I'm taking the $71 on them.

Hell, if you can't back your team two weeks out from the finals at those juicy odds why bother supporting them I say !

Thats the thing, if they beat the storm, they won't be $71 anymore, probably cut that down to about $51.

Then once they are in the 8, the price to win the GF will be no more than $28 , so I look at it as taking great value and $40 overs !

Im as optimistic as they come...but unless you are a lot richer than me (and thats not difficult).....I wouldn't be throwing $1000 at any odds.
I just think we are too inconsistent to really be a legitimate threat.

I won't lose faith that they CAN do it......but I haven't really seen enough consistent form that they WILL do it.......

I don't know how many of you supporters are like me but the way this forum is, Id say most are.........that is........during the week leading up to games Im full of confidence and genuine belief that we will win the next game....but come game time..the nerves start operating and doubt and worry hits,,,,,,,,,,until the final hooter says we have won....... or lost...

all up......I'm going to go and have 10 bucks on the odds of 71...710 bucks is nice...but no where near as sensational as getting a f##kin premiership at last....

and dont ya love it when you're the only one in the tipping comp who picked em against the roosters and got all 7 correct as a result.....and you score 150 bucks in the loacl rag for the same reason and you ring your brother who is a an eels fan and doesnt back them when he thinks they cant win even though you try to telll him, you never back against the sharks NEVER.and he calls you a goose but then because of your undying loyalty you can call him and wave 150 bucks in his face (or the telephone mouthpiece!!) and he says....OH NO DONT START ON THAT CRAP AGAIN!!!.......Youre the only person I know who thinks your team will go undefeated every year etc etc........

Players are banned from betting but in reality if you want to bet whats stopping you? Nothing really. Get ya missus or some confident to put the money on. Just keep it to yourself. Therefore I wonder how many Sharks players would be tempted to back themselves to win the GF?

At this stage we aren't even in the 8 and probably don't deserve to be.

Needless to say I have already had money on them to both make the 8 and win the comp.
