HUGE KANE NEWS

Huge News Regarding Kane, Possible WrestleMania *Spoliers*
Posted By: Chris Tarrant on March 21, 2006

From Wrestlingobserver.com

Carlito and Chris Masters are scheduled to defeat Kane and Big Show for the World Tag Team titles at WrestleMania. The plan is for Kane and Big Show to spark a feud that would lead to a match a Backlash.

Vince McMahon has tossed a huge idea to draft Kane to Smackdown after Backlash, where he would win the World Heavyweight Championship to promote his film “See No Evil”, which is scheduled to hit theaters May 19, 2006. Many within wwe feel, that it would take a lot of work to make Kane capable of holding the World Heavyweight Title, however, there is no going against the ideas of the boss.

Judgment Day is a Smackdown only Pay Per View that usually features WrestleMania rematches, therefore, one could conclude that this match would be a fatal four between Kane/Orton/Angle/Mysterio. Despite the persuasion by many in wwe, McMahon looks to be standing solid by this decision. The 2006 edition of Judgment Day will take place on May 21, 2006 from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

If Kane were to win, I'd expect REY MYSTERIO to become the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION at WM22!

Wouldn't mind a Kane push actually. But I was really hoping for Orton to have a long run as champion this year. Kane to Smackdown it a good option though.

I was hoping for a Rey short run! He deserves to go out of WM 22 as the World Heavyweight Champion. But I always said only a short run, so Kane to Smackdown is perfect!

WWE are considering bringing back Kevin Fertig, who is best known as Mordecai. Mordecai was called up to the Smackdown roster in May of 2004, but was sent back down to OVW in July of that year. He was released last July.

Rey as a transitional champion? I can dig it

How much do you want to devalue the World Championship? Rey doesnt have the credibility. He is a cruiserweight, not a heavyweight. It would be like giving Leaping Lanny Poffo, the Brooklyn Brawler or scotty to Hotty a run as champion, because they are good workers. If Rey is made a champion, it must be a very long run so that he is legitimised as a main eventer (like Shawn Michaels), despite his size. Personally, i think Rey's place is as a cruiserweight. They need to build their dominate cruiserweight champ (probably Gregory Helms) and then have Rey step in and challenge and beat him. This would give him the legitimate title of World Cruiserweight champion adn he would be thought of as actually the best cruiserweight wrestler. After beating Helms and maybe one or two of the other cruiserweights, he should be challenged by a Chavo Guerrero or other US title title contending level champion, bring in a well thought of small man like a marty Janetty followed by feuds with with winning feuds with main event cruisers like Benoit and Shawn Michaels. Somewhere have a few Mexixan and Japanese or even one indy guy fight Rey maybe Ultimo Dragon, Jushin Thunder Ligen, or La Parker- Guys who are billed as the champions of their region of the world. By the end of this, it would give 18 months of solid championship reign in the cruiser division and everyone would consider Rey the best cruiserweight ever and certainly in the country. that would leave the prospect of Champion vs Champion and Rey would have a huge angle to work with and a legitimate shot at becoming a credible champion. It isnt going to happen but something like that would legitimise both the Cruiser division and the Cruiser title. This chopping and changing of titles and giving everyone a share of a title (is there a wrestler around who has been there for more than 3 years who hasnt won a title?) doesnt do anyone any good.

Meh, the WWE have devalued the Cruiserweight title waaaaay to much to ever restore it to what little 'glory' it had in its WCW days. I'm sick of modern wrestling fans writing people off as 'too small'. It's bullsh*t. It's just a 'rule' we've had drilled into our heads by the sh*tty booking of Vince McMahon and Eric Bischoff.

TNA's X Division is proof positive that smaller men can not only be given legitimate pushes, but can move near seemlessly into the main event (see AJ Styles).

Michelle McCool was down in Ohio Valley Wrestling last week so OVW officials could take a look at her. She may be managing the tag team of Amish Roadkill and Kasey James. Also, she tried out as an announcer to promote some local house shows.

Great news. Has done well with the Cruiserweight title.

--Tajiri has agreed to appear at this year's ECW One Night Stand PPV.

The more original ECW guys the better.

Hopefully longer then 24 hours.

--Also confirmed at this meeting is that Ric Flair will win the Money In The Bank Match, however, RVD will still challenge the wwe champion at One Night Stand II.

Flair was my tip to win it. They have been saying "Will Flair ever get another shot at the WWE title" etc for a while now, so you would assume that he might have one more run at the top.

--wwe are considering JBL vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin in a Texas Bullrope match Judgment day.

That would be fun. The two have great chemistry.

--Expect Undertaker to take a leave of absence after Wrestlemania.

What else is knew? I hope they move him to RAW because him on a live show would be cool.

--Batista is due to return by the end of April.

Sooner the better.

--A very close source in wwe is reporting that Rey Mysterio will be winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 22, however, he may loose it as soon as Judgement Day.

Rey as a transitional champion is fine to me.

I'm actually really excited about the above directions, if true. I think Cena's time at the top has to end, and Triple H makes a superb bad guy heel. I'm making the assumption HHH will win based on the fact that Flair and RVD are both slated for title shots - and it wouldn't work so well against Cena.

I love the idea of Rey winning and getting his Wrestlemania moment, and I'm pleased to see the WWE has no plans to make it an extended title run. Rey does deserve to be immortalised this way, but he won't have much longevity as champion - nobody likes an underdog when they're on top. Kane is a great guy to throw him up against - and hopefully this means there'll be a brief feud with Big Show after the likely tag title loss on Raw.

In other news, the WWE have also resigned Kenzo Suzuki. No idea why.
