As for lashley mate i cant stand the bloke but to say he cant main event well wait a sec he main evented on smackdown numerous times and if it wasnt for bigshow leaving ecw lashley would still be main eventing on smackdown.

You honestly think Lashley is a main eventer? Jeez..he is being built up as the next Goldberg...except he has no charisma and his character well it is boring to say the least. Lashley did main event on Smackdown but it defiantely was not regular! Upper-mid card at best IMO!

JBL could just as easily have made fun of JR, and Tazz actually knows something about wrestling, so he's automatically a better option than Lawler. Why they didn't just go with JR (the voice of the WWE), Layfield (for comedy), and Tazz (for insight) is beyond me.

I rather listen to JR and King as a team thanks. Maybe they could have given ECW a desk to call the Rumble but I would not want them to screw around the current commentator lineups for SD and RAW.

What the hell are you rambling about? I wanted one member from each commentary team on the Royal Rumble desk, and no Michael Cole. What does that have to do with screwing around with Raw or Smackdown?

Benoit was completely out of the blue. I'll give credit to the WWE for taking the risk there. I don't think anyone had predicted that.

What the??

There is a chance that we could see "The Crippler" Chris Benoit move to Raw after the Royal Rumble. As many of you know, Paul Heyman has stated that Benoit will never recieve a WWE championship shot at Brock Lesnar as long as he is still the GM of Smackdown. Some feel that Heyman will even find a way to screw Benoit out of a WWE Championship shot, even if he does win the Royal Rumble.

However, as of right now, Benoit is scheduled to work several matches against Triple H at Raw-Brand house shows after the Royal Rumble. This could be an indication that Benoit will be moved over to Raw and work Wrestlemania against Triple H. If this happens, Benoit can still get his title shot if he wins the Rumble, since he'll be on a totally different brand and will no longer be under Paul Heyman's rule. Another hint that "The Rabid Wolverine" could be jumping to Raw is the fact that WWE Backlash (a Raw-Brand only PPV) will be taking place in Benoit's home town of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and the WWE usually never does Edmonton shows without Benoit being involved in the main event of the show.

It was painfully obvious that it was either Benoit or Goldberg that was going over.

So, if you read internet rumours, it was obvious? I was speaking from a mark's perspective. Benoit's winning was a genuine surprise. Rey was definitely not, and The Undertaker was so far from it it hurt.

Undertaker winning was telegraphed all over television.

"No mortal man can eliminate me"
"No one has ever won from #30" x 50 from Michael Cole

What the hell. It was so obvious Benoit was going to win. He was constantly talking about his destiny to finally become world champion. His whole feud with Heyman was around the WWE Title and he even made him number 1.

All announcers were saying Benoit had no chance because only one man had won from number 1 before. Tell me this, if he wasn't going to win tell me who was..

Every one predicted Benoit... maybe you being the exception.

You are talking about splitting up the two major brand commentators just for the sake of it. Like it or not SD and RAW are the two big selling points of the WWE. The comemntators on the respective shows are meant to be a item. And you want to split them up at one of the MORE important PPV's in the year! Talk about being silly! I am all for ECW getting a extra desk next to the RAW and SD's desk but I am definately not all for splitting up the SD and RAW commentators just for the sake of it!

You didn't watch the Rumble, did you? Because, if you did, you'd know that ECW did have a desk until I was destroyed by Umaga flying through it at top speed.

I'm not talking about splitting them announce team up for the entire PPV, only going one step further than they did in splitting up the Raw commentary team. Michael Cole is an insult on all those who hear his inane sh*t. I am deadly serious when I say that I would tolerate another Rey Mysterio title run if it was spurred on by his untimely death.

Kevin Dunn made the call to pull Jim Ross from the announcing duties at the Rumble. In his opinion, Michael Cole is the heir apparent and he wanted everyone to know this.

Jesus titty-f**king Christ. If I ever have to hear him calling Wrestlemania on his own, I will kill myself.

Rumble is the one I hardly ever get and I was right, apart from the tag match the whole PPV was a big meh..

Explain to me how it was good?

Rumble- 4/10 at best, finish was good thats about it. Khali just bores me!

ECW Title- 1/10 and that is generous!

WWE Title- 6.5/10, decent but not great.

WHC- 6/10- made bearable due to Kennedy.

Tag match- 9/10- the only great match IMO!

So please tell me how it was a great PPV. It was very ordinary as the title matches were quite ordinary!

My ratings:

Royal Rumble: 6 out of 10. Tolerable, and made decent by the Taker/HBK showdown despite my dislike of both

ECW Title: 1 out of 10. Terrible

WWE Title: 7.5 out of 10. Early contender for MOTY, although not likely to win it. A great brawl.

World Title: 7 out of 10. Carried by Kennedy

Tag Match: 6 out of 10. Too slow, bland.
