It's been said that tampons could help out with nose bleeds. Courtesy of the "She's the Man" DVD I watched the other night.

 good one PK...

I'd hardly say I have issues if I simply don't like being in such a busy forum... at one time there are so many people in LU... and youd have to admit not everyone is too friendly... I'm comfortable with the familiar names from PI... its great seeing so many of them here too.

LU on a whole is very busy/active. Here in this section it's nice, quiet and we are all penrith fans, those who arent penrith fans mostly put forth genuine questions and chat amicably with us. Those who don't end up in our Dump Yard. :D

I pretty much stick to here but that's my choice. Don't have time to contribute anywhere else these days.

Its mostly because I had a bad experience with someone on another teams section in LU.. he wasn't too friendly, seemed to dispise me and another friend on the forum which had us slightly paranoid at games at one stage.

You should go into the archives one day and check out some slanging matches between myself and Rooster Cogburn.

Oh, Rooster Cogburn... memories there!

Only chooses to come in when the Chookies are WINNING games. Very quiet when they're not (i.e. this year).

Team sections are like sacred grounds especially in very active ones such as the Dragons, Sharks, Parra and Raider forums. You enter another teams section and you are automatically deemed a troll and will be treated as such until you can prove otherwise. Then there are the Rooster and Souths forums where it's mainly other fans and probably mostly from the abovementioned (believe it or not  ) who only ever enter to troll and there are not enough team fans to eradicate or control them. But then maybe that's changed now because I hardly ever go there and only do when I am given a link to it then I'm only probably looking at the pest ones.

Basically you don't ever take any thing to heart. If you like a team forum and want to be excepted then play by the rules, have plenty of patience and eventually they will accept you over time.

One thing you have got to keep in mind forums such as the Sharks, Raiders and the Knights don't have official forums so basically their section on LU has become the unofficial fans forum for those teams. Parramatta, I am under the belief do have an official forum but is poorly run so LU has become their unofficial fans forum.

As much as you all like to bitch about Penrith and their official forum, so far it's still there and will always be whilst ever Rob Weaver and other penrith officials who will put in the time to run it. They know about LU. They know about all other unofficial fan forums around, so I assume it would be better for the club to keep a forum running so they have the control over it. If ever Penrith's forum closed or become like other clubs mentioned above, another fourm will open by fans or the fans may choose to move in here since it's established and well run. There will never be an end to team forums.

Without sounding like I'm running down Rob, he often mentions closing PI, in fact in all the years I have been posting on PI I do not remember a year where he has not threatened us by it. To me it's become like an empty threat. It's to keep you all behaved. ;-) Generally PI is a good place to post especially for those who don't get too involved in it, it's politics, it's agendas, it's members/moderators and Admin and just go there to read the news and post their opinions. It's not worth the hassle in my opinion.

There's a lot of cat in-fighting happening there from what I have seen, spilling from the WT Fanatics forum. Can get pretty nasty between themselves at times. I've watched Admin squash them a few times.

I don't care how many come over as long as they don't bring their garbage or they may find their garbage dumped or completely combusted.

Ahhh pk all the garbage is over there and id assume by the major differences in the way each site is run the garbage will stay over there.:D

Personally i use to be a member of nrlland.com and when people jumped ship to here i personally didnt like this site much at all however i have come to realise that this site is without a doubt superiour to both other sites.

Until politics destroys this site hopefully that wont happen for a while.

That's interesting. It amazes me how many forummers transfer through various reasons.

BTW if any of you are a sports nut, LU have set up their original idea and started a sportsunlimited site now. They are always looking for people with new ideas and who would like to add input in some way. There are fantasy sports for quite a few codes happening on there and lots of other stuff. I help out in moderating over there in a few sections and since the off season I've noted it's starting to get some interesting activity happening on there. So check it out every so often and keep up with what's happening on it.

From something Rob wrote a few weeks back in relation to the possible closure of the PI forums is something to do with the NRL. Apparently, the NRL are wanting control of all the NRL clubs websites, which, I think Rob said doesn't include forums. I'll be extremely disappointed if the NRL takes over any club's website and stops Fan forums, where the officials of the club can actually make a comment. Despite the problems with PI, I for one hope that the forums can stay.

While i agree with you ryan and would like the forum to stay i was having a discussion with rob in a pm and he stated that he is sick of whinging about the forum and is thinking of suggesting the forum be closed of course he then said in a thread that he never said such a thing but well i had the proof so its all good.
