heard stories of a bloke in the 20's/30's in the super league that could hit 75m drop goals. Pretty impressive stuff, would have been cool if he put it dead and got a dropout from a dropout

French has a lot of talent, was a bit of hype around him in the Souths camp but he was let go because he had a heart defect and was advised not to play anymore I believe.

Hope he still makes it, and with no issues

I wonder who could drop kick further between him and Francois Steyn.

Didn't Hazem El Masri kick a 100m goal from goal post to goal post on the Footy Show a few years ago?

Anyway, that was one HUGE dropout from French.

Any relation to former seagulls Brett and Ian French?

If he let the ball go dead it would have actually been a 20m tap, but because he took it dead it was a drop out.

The standard for miracles must have dropped quite a bit for a drop-out in a semi-professional, second tier game of a sport played seriously in two countries on earth to qualify.

I expect he'll get a call from the Pope soon.

Puig Aubert famously once replied when asked why he doesn't tackle

"There's 12 blokes on the field to do all that. I'm here to score all the points"

Some would say it's a miracle that some random old bloke gets hero-worshipped wherever he goes
