If he let the ball go dead it would have actually been a 20m tap, but because he took it dead it was a drop out.

no, it's like finding touch from a dropout or touch from the kickoff. normally you'd get the scrum feed, but cant do that in your in goal so it would still have been a dropout

I originally thought that too, but it's different.

From a drop out it's a 20m tap.

Was mentioned on the coverage by the video ref in the second half of the match.

Hellteam is correct. You can't get a drop out from a drop out. Section 8, law 2.
The goaline dropout for going dead off a kick only occurs from the kickoff from the center of the half way line.

ian was also a wynnum great, i'm guessing he won titles there, unlike north sydney. kurt had a courier mail story done yesterday and this week is dropped to fogs cup, lol.
