X-Men Origins: Wolverine Leaked on the Net

Its not a final cut, and many of the special effects are unfinished, but there is a version of it available to download that is very watchable.

That being said - IT IS SH!THOUSE

without giving away plot and divulging spoilers - I hated it.
I'm a big fan of the comics, lets get that straight from the get go.

The movie takes liberties with EVERY character and twists them into a shadow of what they are like in the comics.
The story is dumb. Not much of it makes sense. It really contradicts the previous 3 X-Men movies.

About 5 minutes total is good. And even then, I could suggest a dozen ways to make it better. No - thats not the geeky fanboy coming out, its just the general 'this is what is good, and what youve done is bad' type of way of making stuff cool

The geeky fanboy wants to really tear shreds off the movie, and getting into this character never met that one til much later etc, but for movies you can ignore that sorta stuff to a certain extent.
This is beyond rediculous.

Wolverine and Sabretooth are Canadians. For some reason they participated in every war the US were ever involved in - including the US Civil War, according to this movie.

I read on one film critic's website that people shouldnt download the movie because it will lose a heap of money and they may not be able to make sequels like Magneto: Origin and X-Men First Class.

If this is the standard of crud that my box office money will contribute to and support - I strongly suggest that everyone boycott Wolverine and save their hard earned so more of this garbage isnt made and Fox relinquishes the X-Men rights back to Marvel so they can put out better flicks in the vein of Iron Man and the Hulk.

Sure - make up your own mind, but dont say I didnt warn you.

Doesnt make it any better a film.

Honestly - if it was a good story, I'd be encouraging people to go see it when it comes out.

Meanwhile - what the hell do you care where I got it?

How can you judge a movie based on an unfinished, special FX-less cut? Especially a movie that relies on its FX?

There is about 70% of the finished special FX in there.
What I based my opinion on was purely story driven.

Its not the SFX I have a problem with - please lemme get that straight.
Its how the characters are nothing like they are in the comics and how the story is for the most part redundant.

I really wanted the movie to be great. Gambit is the greatest comic character IMO, but was under-used/improperly used, as most of the cast was.

Honestly - most of the effects that drive the story are already in the leaked version. Its just the subtle things that are missing.
When/if you watch the pirated version, youll understand.

They don't make these movies for the comic book fans - they make them for the movie-goers. It doesn't make fiscal sense to make a film for fans who will go anyway. It's about bringing in casual viewers.

Gambit is the greatest comic character IMO

Read more comics :p

dont see any of these films unless its made by marvel or dc

It's a pity Marvel Studios didn't get control of the X-Men and Spiderman franchises. Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk both showed they could make films that both catered to fans and had collosal mainstream appeal.

wow why so much crap to the guy for downloading it...im sure all of you have downloaded something illegally.

also SFX dont make a movie, if you need to see explosions and crazy SFX to say a movie is good then in my opinion you have zero taste in movies.

Mmmm internecks stealing! Lovely.

I saw this movie on a torrent site I use and didn't even think about downloading it. I can never understand why people MUST get a copy of the movie before its finished or even a screener where halfway through the person filming the movie puts the video camera down because an usher walks past.

I'm never THAT desperate to see a movie. Give me a BRrip or DVDrip anytime.

Watching a movie that hasn't been finalised? Well...you were asking for it.

Kinda sucks. Youd like to think that they could be faithful to the fans, but I understand that youve gotta compromise for the format somewhat.

Read more comics :p.

Sorry - I probably shouldnt have said "greatest" but he's certainly my favourite.
I do read plenty, and there are some great ones out there (depending on who is writing at the time), but I've always liked Gambit

Yeah - I think with IM and TIH they Marvel Studios waited til they got directors/producers etc, that were passionate about the characters/stories. Rather than studios thinking 'who can make us the most money'

Disappointing to hear it's so whack Steel Dragon. I was expecting much more, and was looking forward to seeing Gambit on screen.

Gambit is probably my favourite from X-Men followed closely by Cable & Bishop. Stormshadow & Snake Eyes are the greatest comic book characters ever IMO though.

Why the f**k would anyone watch a movie like that without all the special effects left out?

Indeed. Quite stupid.

Saw it last night and thought it was absolutely brilliant. Jackman was excellent as were the supporting cast. The story line was great and the pacing of the movie was perfect for a comic book adaptation.

We've had alot of good comic book movies recently and this is right up there as one of the best IMO.
