Picked this up a few days ago and man I'm loving it. A lot harder than XCOM Enemy unknown (getting my arse kicked on easy by sectoids :x )
Far more customisable than it's predecessor in regards to aesthetics. Troop classes seem great,with old classes getting a nice revamp and the new being well balanced (although rangers look like they could be OP).
Haven't run into a lot of new classes of aliens yet. I think there are 6 new species as well as the new enemy Govt. troops and equip, which consist of your run of the mill soldiers to heavy mechs and auto turrets.

If you were a fan of XCOM Enemy unknown, you should definitely pick this (imo) better sequel up. Far better challenge and more variable game play.

I'm pumped for this. My most anticipated game in a long time. Hopefully will get a sesh of it this weekend. Absolutely loved Enemy Unknown

Just finished my first playthrough - Veteran difficulty, wanted to learn the game first, will probably do another veteran run to refine some things before stepping up the difficulty.
Loved it. One of those games where time just disappears.

Hopefully they can get some of the performance issues sorted that people are having.

Been relatively lucky regarding performance. Apart from a couple of times where the game shat itself on the Alien turn... It took about 10 mins for the game to register a single action, but it's only happened once in 20+ hours.
Starting to get my head around the mechanics and new troop/Alien classes. Loving the ranger and specialist class's! Can't wait to get my hand on Psi troopers. Hoping for Mechs in a DLC package down the road.

Firaxis games have really outdone themselves!

Cant wait to pick this up, loved EU. Dont think my PC will handle it though
