Personally I think the kid needs the full 4 year ban, just so he can learn about himself a little bit more.
If he gets it reduced to 2 years I daresay he learns nothing useful.

If so, he's got his pay for this year, $250K I think, that would easily spread over 2 years, and in that second year he'd just train in preparation for the year after. Its the easy way out where I dont think he will learn that much except that he got away with breaking the rules.
Give him the four years and it will probably go either one of two ways. He either becomes a grub like say Watts, or he becomes a young man who has learnt a big lesson, and turns up a better human being.

Tend to agree. Maybe 3 years is optimal haha. 4 years is a f**king long time to stay on track without solid direction at that age.

I always wondered that about Hayne, and to a lesser extent Val.
