To be fair, it isn't literally just straight blood. That would be incredibly dangerous. It's highly processed to remove anything that is not compatible.

My issue is that it hasn't really been tested effectively for a medical use, and that any suggested benefit is questionable at best. It's seemingly a worthless injectable version of those Power Balance wristbands or cupping.

Athletes swear by it, but it's a placebo effect.

But one thing strikes a cord with me about what Gallen is referring to, and that was that pip squeak politician Jason Clare & Richard Ings who stood up at that press conference with all that "darkest day in sport" business. Both milked it for all it was worth to promote themselves.

Also Gallen comes across as knowing what he is and isn't best suited for, so I doubt he would go into doing dodgy property deals like Benny somehow. I think he knows his career future is likely to be in commentating. No I'm not trying to say Gallen is dumb, or incapable or anything like that, merely I think he knows to what occupations his personal skills/talents/experience are best suited to is all.

Yeah, let the NRL cut ties with WADA. Then watch as all State Governments and the Federal Government withdraw all Government funding from rugby league. All Government funding is contingent with being code compliant with WADA. If WADA were after publicity they'd be doing this in the big world sports (e.g. UK Premier League, NFL, NBA) - not the NRL in Australia.
