I'm not nagging, that was my first post on the subject and your third!

I know it's not going to change anything but all these people have a right to voice their disapproval.

The launch will not necessarily be a good night for everyone, mostly kids and their parents!

It is good to see you counting the posts..........

Oh well not all activites please everyone! If they had the Xmas Party or Fan Day whatever you call it, I know it wouldnt suit the working people on the weekend.......... so unfortunately cannot make everyone happy!

I have nothing against with people voicing their opinion, but at the same time no need to bag the club also! Remember this is the club you guys love! :D

I'm not only counting but increasing mine :D

Working people like your husband?lol
Yet the Xmas party in the day is a lot easier for kids to attend and enjoy....but you are right, everyone won't be happy but in this case it's more a feeling of being ripped off and venting some anger.

Oh yes,we love this club and all they do for us...

I personally would prefer the Xmas fan day to the Jersey launch. I dont finish work til after 7 so that doesnt really suit me. And the Fan Day had been previously advertised with a date and all and people had made plans. Well I know I had. I am not interested in the new Jersey. I think its just another tactic to get more money out of the fans. I would prefer a relaxing summers day hanging out with my mates at the Fan Day. And if you think our club actually gives a toss about their fans Eve, then I have to disagree with you. The almighty dollar, thats all they are worried about.

Correction - this is the "football team" we guys love! Clubs and administrations behind the football teams are a totally different thing, and should not be automatically immune from criticism where warranted.

A few facts. 1. The Eels like to stay ahead of their competition on and off the field that is the reason they are always updating and improving the way they look! 2. Without money coming into the club from merchandise sales and sponsorship we would not have a club like ours. We get alot (fans days etc etc) as fans but a minority (that's right a minority) of out spoken fans always want more. 3. I'm sure you will be there (at the launch) and when you see everyone with their new jersey's next season you will get one to!!!!
I can't wait to see the new jersey!

staying ahead of the opposition on and off the field????????????????
revenue from merchandise ?????????? who do you think pays for the merchandise ,tickets, etc etc,and its been 2 yrs since we were ahead of the opposition, as for a few digruntled fans , there would be a few more than you realise . mate if your happy with the club reniging on things they stated 10 mnths ago good for you , if people want to come here and have a whinge , pull your head in and butt out.

Well at least you guys actually hear about it. I never hear about anything till like a month or two after the event. I never receive my mail or emails from them (they reckon they send em to the right address). It a pain in the arse, just glad that I can talk to Other ppl to find out stuff bout the Eels. Its no wonder memberships were down last season and i expect them to be down again this yr too the way they are operating.

I know a few guys who dont even feel like supporting the Eels because of all the crap that the management are doing to the fans. If they dont wake up to themselves soon they might lose a lot of fans.

Yeah I might get that half way through next season. The last time i called them about not receiving mail they said that it was because i lived so far away. Maybe they have the wrong Newcastle and are sending it over to England. It wouldnt suprise me if it was the case lol

Can Someone else confirm

Nikki posted a while ago that the XMAS day is cancelled. Now while i certainly don't doubt Nikki, has anyone else officallly been told this?

The majority of fans who would have receieved the flyer about the Christmas day would not be on this website, and thus as far as i know would still be planning on heading down this weekend. I mean if i wasnt on this website, i woud have been travelling up from Wollongong, and only to finad an empty park, and i am sure there are people coming from further away than me.

So did anyone else hear about it any other way than on this web page?

Firstly PB,

I would assume that if Tracksuitman didn't actually deny this fact, then it probably isn't on.

Secondly, I am both surprised and not surprised at the negativity directed at the club by many fans.
Some are just pure whingers, but many people have valid complaints - very few which are ever dealt with by the club itself in a personal manner, in a caring or endearing way.
With all these interaction days the club organises (which I think is a great thing for fans), may I dare suggest that a "club/fans interaction evening" might be a way for the marketing and promotion arm of the club to get some feedback as to where they might or might not be going wrong.

Surely, it wouldn't hurt them to listen en-masse to the gripes of fans.
Surely, we aren't all beyond criticism and wanting self improvement.
Or are they??? :?: :?:

PB - It isn't going to happen, that is why they had the Jersey Launch the other night. No Xmas Party this year! It has been official! :)
