Xmas Presents...

I tried this here before for a birthday for someone else & got some good ideas so I figured I'd run it up the flag pole again & see what happens...

Looking for some thoughts on xmas present/s. Aimed at a woman, no adventure type stuff or alcohol. Sadly purse/handbag is not an option. Jewellery is probably over done at this point also.

Feel free to just say what you may have bnought for your wife/gf whatever. I'm just starting to struggle right now & time is getting away.

Danke.

On TV last night a woman said gift voucher is now the most given gift, and people also say it is the gift they would most like to recieve.
All you need to do is work out her favourite shop.

The ornate vase, plus flowers.

Keep filling it with flowers until you marry her, give it a year or two and then just buy bunches of spinach thereafter.

Find a good photo of her, get it printed at a photo place and get it framed. more of a personal touch to it rather than the standard jewelery etc.

Holy crap these were good answers! I honestly thought this would deteriorate into mysogyny very quick, so thanks to those that responded. The Red Ballon cooking thing looks ok. Though I think I may have been missing hints on a watch. Her fault I guess for dropping them while I'm playing XBox

I saw similar articles/stories about gift certificates being the new "IT" present. But what I don't get though is how they are OK yet it is still considered impersonal to give cash in a card.

That Mario pic is something else, lol.

Seeing that you are the romantic type, a book on love stuff.

in a simialr vein and soemthing i've thought of but not done, get a pic of yourself or both of you and get it etched onto a keyring or soemthing. they sometimes have stalls in shopping centres (though i havent seen them for a while) where i think they laser etch a pic onto a frame, keyring, pendant etc

if anyone knows what i'm talking about and knows of any still in sydney let me know

I'm buying my missus a kiddie pool and some pandora charms.

Don't know if that helps your plight though

I definitely saw one recently (about a month ago, maybe longer), I believe it was in Westfeilds Burrwood, not 100% sure though ... I'll let you know if I remember/see it again

I got the Mrs a Amazon Kindle, one of those electronic books. She loves reading and figure she should like that. Cost me $307 with a case and postage to Australia.

Get her a voucher for a beauty spa...then when she gets home and she is nice and relaxed...it will be party time.
