who cares both teams played weakened sides indicating neither took this as a huge priority

palace at the weekend. how much for benteke to score against us?

Just like Andy Carroll it's f**king guaranteed.

And the merkin will probably doing it by not being a statue for once like he was for us.

I didn't watch the game, 3:30 is a son-of-a-bitch kick-off time, so I thought I'd wake up in the morning and watch it on demand on my optus account, except the f**kers still hadn't even uploaded the game hours after it finished. Hopeless. So I took a deep breath and clicked on 'results', the first thing I saw was 'Crystal Palace 2-', "oh no"...'-4 Liverpool'. "Phew".

I've noticed some people giving a bit too much flak to Karius for that first goal. Yeah, he should have had his arms in the air, but IMO, Lovren was attempting a backpass, f**ked it up, and the fact it was a backpass planted a lot of uncertainty into Karius' mind over his next course of action - "what if I touch the ball before Macarthur does?"

There was nothing Karius could do for either goal. Even arms up it is still a goal

Yeah agreed, it would be harsh to pin anything on Karius for that, it was just a huge f**k up by Lovren. He couldn't do anything about the second goal either, partially pin it on moreno for not closing down the cross but it was a good ball and mccarthur attacked it ahead of Lovren (he was flat footed, dont think he could've got to it without fouling), pretty decent header too.

One of these days though, you can just see a 6-0, 7-0 spanking coming up. Chances out of the wazoo, scoring 4 goals, hitting the post twice, one day soon we'll explode in a match.

I didn't see the game either bu Klopp has come out and said publicly that the first 15 minutes of the game he was not happy with the side. His exact words - "It looked a little bit like childish football-- very good but no greed, no direction. We were good but that should not work. It didn't work actually and then we scored and we started playing football."

It's not a game you would write home about but a 6 goal thriller is still interesting.

Personally, I know he got a goal and I am a fanboy, but the team looks better with Gini in it rather than Can.
Moreno needs to be sold with Sakho. Can't deal with him anymore. He is Martin Skrtle at left back.

Gini seems to be more intelligent, and looks a more natural cog to the machine

6-1 against Watford. Only saw the highlights but streuth they looked very, very good. All reports are that it was a very good team performance, even Karius did some good work but was just beaten by a well placed strike for their goal.

Karius came up with a couple of fantastic saves. He is very quick off his line.
The goal came off a turnover and a bit of lackluster defending.

We were phenomenal with the ball and really good without it. Our pressing is on point.
Funny how Mane is getting a lot of praise but I thought it was one of his lesser games for us. His involvement wasn't all that high.
Firmino was the star of the show for mine, followed by Coutinho and Matip.

it's possible they'll come for him this summer, but honestly I see the next one as probably more realistic.

The following was posted at ESPN FC's website -

Philippe Coutinho wants to win UCL with Liverpool - Goncalves

Philippe Coutinho is happy at Liverpool and wants to win the Premier League and Champions League with the club, according to Rodney Goncalves, the Brazil international's former youth coach at Vasco da Gama.

Coutinho, 24, has made a flying start to the season for the Reds, scoring five goals and setting up five for teammates in his first 11 appearances, and that form has seen Barcelona linked. But Goncalves insists a move is not on the agenda for Coutinho.

"Whenever we speak he always says that is very happy at Liverpool and his biggest challenge is to win the Premier League and Champions League with Liverpool," Goncalves told the Telegraph.

"He knows that if he continues to give great performances for Liverpool, he will always be selected for Brazil."

Coutinho has been in form for Brazil too, scoring five goals in 10 appearances for the Selecao during 2016, including a strike in the 3-0 World Cup qualifying win against Argentina.

But Goncalves believes comparisons to Neymar are unfair and thinks Coutinho can become an equally important player in his own right.

"Coutinho can be compared to Neymar, but Coutinho is Coutinho," he said. "He can become a very popular in Brazil and around the world like Neymar, he just needs to get a sequence of games in the Brazilian squad.

"There is pressure on him but it is not a problem. He plays at a big club and plays in the most important league in the world."

It is starting to look like Lallana is the lynchpin that makes Klopp's preferred midfield and forward line go. I say that as without him against Southampton, the attack looked very pedestrian. Had little bite at all, and they looked miles away from the team that dismantled Watford.

One thing though, Klopp left it way too late in the game to realise things weren't working before introducing Sturridge and Origi to the game. I mean putting Sturridge on with 13 minutes left, and Origi with what 1 minute left in regulation?! Not giving either much time to do anything. Sturridge fashioned one decent chance for Clyne, but that was about it for either he or Origi. They should have come on by no later than the 70 minute mark to give them time to make an impact.
