Who says we decided not to buy. The club had targets and couldn't get them so didn't spend for the sake of it.

Would people actually prefer we wasted money on buying for the sake of it or waited to get the right people in.

We won't fix our issues in one window, fans seriously need patience. Spurs are the example we should follow not Man City or Man Utd
Bores me to no end when people bring up the transfers of Coutinho, Sturridge, Suarez and etc to prove that buying in January is not that hard. Completely different situations. They were all good players that the club wanted whom all happened to be available in January, and were guaranteed an immediate place in the starting 11. But Liverpool weren't able to promise anyone an established starting team spot this window, which isn't a very good carrot to wave. Had Liverpool been crying out for someone to permanently slot into the first team like they did to Suarez, Couts and Studge then maybe our January business would have been different.

I hope they don't give Emre a contract based on just that goal though they did give Lovren $100k a week for doing exactly what?
Couts injury is a concern too as we're down on troops already.
3 games to go and we'll be favourites in all of them.

I'm an unabashed Can fan and always have been. I know he can do some f**king stupid things sometimes and puts in the odd absolute shocker.

But in general though I like the way he plays, he's a competitor and he has that little bit of x-factor about him for a box-to-box midfielder.

He's no where near the finished product but if he can stop believing in his own hype, continue to work hard and with just general maturity I honestly think he has the ability to be a top midfielder.

Happy for him this morning to have his moment in the sun.

He has been quite good recently and I'm a fan as well. He needs to settle and knuckle down and learn the role Koop wants him in. He can be an important cog in our machine if he can learn patience in the role.

Great weekend of results and European football is completely in our hands now. We don't get top 4 and it'll be no one else's fault but Klopp and the players.

Would love City to slip up now and hopefully lock up 3rd place.

where can has looked half decent is when he plays a role that suits him - physical and direct. he simply has to accept that technically he is not at the same level as his team mates and probably never will. he is the guy when playing technical is the one who invariably turns it over 9/10

Goal of the season. Moving backwards, perfect technique, rocketed into top corner and swerved away from Gomes. That is undoubtedly better than any other acrobatic finish in the EPL this season.

Even with a game played over the rest, a 4 point lead at this stage of the season is a good lead. The pressure is really on our rivals.

What I'm also finding peculiar is that half of Mourinho's team is injured yet there is not one question about his training methods. Not that I think his training methods are to blame, it just goes to show how much people will jump on the groupthink bandwagon.

And one final thing, Klopp seriously needs to kick Matip and Lovren up the backside. Their team has a crucial slender lead with minutes on the clock, yet they're both in Watford's box virtually by themselves trying to score a goal together?! WTF! For that moment they seemed to think they were a striking partnership rather than a centre back partnership. Negligence of the highest order. Can you imagine if Watford made a quick break and scored while those two were standing back there holding their dicks? I couldn't understand it...

Can deserves an extension through the form he has had in recent weeks. They shot themselves in the foot though paying Lovren an extortionate amount of money.

I saw something on a forum the other day, we are paying our back 5 just under 500k a week and conceding 50 goals.
Ridiculous.

Coutinho took a nasty knock that looks like a deep muscle cork, should be right by Sunday night (our time)

Lovre has the makings of a good defender, he just needs to learn how to concentrate more in certain kinds of games.

Sounds like if we make Champions League we will go shopping at Southampton again.
Seeing as it was so successful last time I can not wait.
