That sums up the ABC for you.

Yeah 2nd half was dull indeed, all the good players were taken off.

The problem was their "panel" didn't include anyone who was a serious sports/football commentator. All three of their main hosts are comedians, with only one of them really being a devoted football fan. That dope they had in the crowd was about as funny as haemorrhoids.

On different news, conflicting stores about transfer plans. Firstly Klopp said a few days ago he has his plans set for signings this off season. Now, overnight, he has said not all the signings may be done until well into the pre-season. I'd love to know which is accurate.

He hasn't really conflicted himself, it's just a case of plans vs potential reality. You plan to have them done ASAP but it doesn't always happen that way.

Just here for the $$$$$$$$, Ive got no doubt the likes of Gerrard and Carragher did a few private talks for good money too

Ok, thought it very strange when I heard they were here already for a game given the season just finished.

Moving up the coast with their appearances it seems as well, will they be back next year and at Brisbane this time?

I'd probs make the effort to go see them if they played here against the Roar.

Pretty sure they already played Suncorp(could be wrong though). I read somewhere the amount they make in merchandise and ticket sales from coming out here is just too good to turn down, easily the biggest non Australian supported team of any sport in this country, I was just surprised it wasnt totally sold out last night

Actually yeah, I think you are right, celtic were here around that time as well.

I had a lot of stuff going on at the time and didn't have a chance.

I doubt that. They arrived in Sydney yesterday morning, were at the Star last night boozed out of their brains and are at the beach now before heading back home.

A couple of reasons why it didn't sell out:

- The novelty has worn off a bit now. They've already come 2 times before in the space of 3 years

- The inclusion of a few retired players would have created an impression that it'd be at walking pace

I don't know much about him, i know he was highly touted for a while and he scored 7 goals at 17 in the dutch league which is decent.

I'm happy to have him in the rotation, i don't see why he'd swap chelsea u23 for ours so obviously he's coming for a place in the first team squad. Think we'll see Sturridge and Origi go, Ings wont even be fit for half the season and then will likely go out on loan.

He has be signed for the first team squad I believe as we have a transfer ban on getting in youth players.

He hasn't played for a year so he's going to need some decent game time. He was talented in the youth setup and could make an impact if given time.

I hope he makes it, but who knows with players at that age.

It was 7 in 26 with Vitesse which isn't too bad.

Yeah but a few of those were penalties

I've heard he's very talented though, apparently a lot of Chelsea fans are pissed that he's been let go. The problem was that his step-dad 'agent' was making relatively huge wage demands to Chelsea and they refused to be held for ransom.

This guy called Graeme Kelly who apparently has insider connections reckons Van Dijk is a done deal...his gossip that Rodgers was gone after the Everton derby was spot on so who knows...

I'm sure there are idiots out there who are "pissed" the reactions are comical IMO. It's part of football these days. It's been on the cards since the start of the season as the club have been strong in refusing to indulge teenage contract rebels. Ola Aina missed large chunks of last season only to put pen to paper with a month or so remaining and then featuring a bit in the firsts this season.
No agent worth his salt is going to undersell his client, Solanke wasn't happy with the money and looked to seek the most available to him, we would all do the same.

I'm disappointed but it's been on the cards and he's one of a decent crop coming through. Some of which have proven themselves in England.
