Oh my God, how good is that videoclip! For those of you who haven't seen it, it's the most hilarious take on Death Metal/ Satanic metal, and features the band members singing in a clown mask, a Slipknot-esque mask with spikes coming out of it, a contorted old man mask and Mike Patton wearing a leather gimp mask and trying to shove a crucifix inside of it. The ckip also shows the band hanging themselves from a stage then having epileptic fits dangling from their nooses, as well as dolls heads rolling along the ground and a bed of roses blowing away to reveal a decapitated pig's head. Love it!
Other favorites include:
Paul Kelly- 'Before Too Long'. It's like a bird's eye view of life in Sydney in 1986 through the eyes of a taxi driver (Kelly).
Prodigy- 'Smack My Bitch Up'. All I'll say about this one is- it's all in the last 30 seconds! Giggity giggity giggity!
Bruce Springsteen- 'I'm On Fire'. It's such an unpretensious, unglamorous, working-class videoclip. That he just turns and begins the long walk home after going to that girl's house is a great ending. There's something so believeable about this clip that I love.
Michelle Branch- 'Goodbye To You'. Only saw it twice in a gym, but it rates in my books because Michelle looks really hot, and there's an interesting metaphor linking the lyrics of the song to a goldfish.
Also, this funny videoclip I saw in Europe of this guy playing a guitar and there's all these women running towards him, screaming. You think they're all crazy for him until the end when they trample him and keep on running. It's great!
