Years each team has gone Premiership-less

Parramatta should be awarded the 2009 Premiership after losing to the Melbourne Cheats. That would make Parramatta's Premiership drought only 1 year. Same with Manly in 2007.

Granted, it's a hollow victory and nowhere near the same as winning it on the field, but I am a believer that as a competition was staged in 2007 & 2009 and there were 15 other teams competing then someone is entitled to win it. It is unfair on the legitimate teams to be robbed of a Premiership they deserve. Withdrawing the Premiership from Melbourne and leaving Parramatta and Manly as Runners-up to nobody in the record books not only sounds odd, but it doesn't go far enough.

What would happen if the Bears are re-admitted. Would their count start from 2013 (provided they get in that year) or would it stretch all the way back to 1922????

It should count from 1922, but can someone with the right contacts get an official confirmation from Greg Florimo?

You do realise that Melbourne beat other teams as well don't you? Why should Parra be rewarded because they didn't have to play Melbourne until the GF? Answer is - they shouldn't.

The decision to withdraw the premiership was correct.
