As to Gold coast being a separate business entity, isn't that the case with South Sydney Inc. too?

What would happen if the Bears are re-admitted. Would their count start from 2013 (provided they get in that year) or would it stretch all the way back to 1922????

Given there's no official 'years since last premiership' count, their fans and opposition fans can do whatever they want...I suspect it will be 1922 though, because that was the last time they won the thing

AS ABOVE, ITS NOT AN OFFICAL 'THING' AS SUCH, BUT YES 1922 IT IS

this thread says 'premiership' [yes i known its in the NRL section!] so the answer is that Norths won Flegg in 1998 etc etc!

eels will stay at the top as well
the bears are shocking - 1922 your kidding yourselves?
2013 marks a fantastic year for souths fans
finally another club that's won nothing for such a long time
I see a really close bond developing between the fans of the bears and souffs.

I would of added cronulla but they just aren't considered when it comes to winning.

.

poor old toothless sharks and rabbits.

they will be forever at the top of this list.

.

True but it shows how dominant we were to still have the record despite it being do bloody long ago. Back then we would have won about one in every three premierships. Now we are down to just over one in five.

A bit bad when you think about it. One in five won and f**k all for 40 years!!

Well if thats the case then Melbourne have only been 1 year without a premiership.

2009 NYC Premiers.

The same logic means that Parramatta are 0 years without a premiership.

2010 Bundaberg Cup and Sydney Shield Champions :)

1922. If Souths don't get to start our count again from 2002 then the Bears have to count from 1922.

It's good to know that each year Cronulla, Souths, Parra, etc are fresh losers instead of being stale after all these years

Every team gets to play every week of the season unless there's a bye.

Do you think the defending premiers don't care if they lose in round 1?

For that matter, over half the 16 teams lose their final game of the season. Of the 8 teams in the finals only the premiers win their final game. The other 7 finish the year with a loss.

The 8 who miss the finals are also non-premiers, whether they win in round 26 or not.

And really, when the new season starts does anybody give a f**k about last year? There's enough media hype around some teams that you have a hard time caring about last week let alone last year.

Look what they tried to do this week. St George wins their first title in 30 years and the media are all about Stephen Kearney's new job. It's f**king disgraceful.

Speculating about the future sells papers, and this time tomorrow today will be yesterday's news. We've got only ourselves to blame because we keep buying their sh*t.
