I saw the title of the thread and assumed it was about Kallum Watkins. He could be special.

He needs to learn how to defend though.

Hopefully he will become a star. Its great when the genuine excitement is about junior british players coming through, not which import your linked to.

sod defending......israel falou could'nt defend for toffee

just seen some more pics of kallum....he's defo put on the 10kg i wish he had...if not more

A beast now isn't he! I had my picture taken with him in the players bar after the game last week. Im 6'2 and 15 1/2 stone (ok, not all muscle ;) ) and I felt small next to him. Same height but the width of his upper body now!

And his defence was pretty good on Friday. Think he missed 1 tackle all game and there were a couple of occasions where I think Paea ran at him and he just took the impact and took him to ground. The added size should definitely give him more confidence when making the tackle. He certainly hit the line harder in attack now.

:lol: Get used to it. Wait till the day that you hope Petero Civoniceva never retires otherwise you will be older than the entire comp!

Well I'm still only 28 so it's not too bad :lol:

Hopefully Menzies sticks around for a while so I still feel young ;)

Woah, woah, woah!

A fair bit of racial stereotyping going on in that last post!

As for the SL i'll pluck a few names out of the air;

Leeds - Jamaal Chisholm, Kallum Watkins, Ryan Bailey, Ben Jones-Bishop
Hull - Reece Lyne, Jordan Turner
Salford - Jodie Broughton, Danny Williams
Huddersfield - Jermaine McGillvary, Michael Lawrence, Leroy Cudjoe

11 players in just 4 teams and I have probably missed some off. The majority of other teams have players of African/Jamaican decent in them too so I'm not sure at what point Kurt is making.

Leeds is a hotbed and I have refereed some good talent. My brother had all the potential in the world and got the better of a lot of players who are just breaking into 1st grade now but he had 1 big problem. He didn't like the cold :lol:

Not having a dig at just Afro/Caribbean but also White/Asian//Mixed and to me I would try to get this kids of the streets and into stuff like Rugby League and Mixed Martial Arts.
