If your looking for a fitness model, Hiku's the wrong man. He's a notorious poor trainer and always carries some "condition", but he's starred at fullback for Manly and NZ. He ran over 300m against Souths one day.

Smith at FB doesn't bother so much after what he did last season but he isn't a half at this level. I'd still much prefer DWZ replaced Moylan though.

Dallin will be fullback. On exposed form you would expect Blake to have secured one of the centre positions. Like it or not Sowie and Wallace will be the halves combination for opening game. Maybe McKendry back in place of Matagi? The Bolter if there is to be one likely to be JFH.

Will one of the interchange spots be filled with a utility? That is the big question. Someone who provides cover for the backs and perhaps an option to give Segeyaro a short spell.

We need to be no worse than 2 from 4 from a difficult opening four rounds. I think the key to success in our opening games is our pack at least matching our opposition so Hook need to get his starting six and bench spot on.

Like I've said with Cartwright, Peach and Hiku a utility is pointless. 4 forwards on the bench is the go.

Not sure what to make of McKendry. Played 10 minutes of reserve grade and then went off. Came back but was not overly impressed. Expected him to rip in.

May have missed that he is coming back from injury but if not, didn't do anything special to warrant being reinstated.
