RCG, McKendry or Latimore. Three big slow plodders, one we are likely paying over 500k who was once good, one who has an offload and another who is young. I don't really care which one or two get the nod, I'm just hoping not all three do, I'd be fine with only one. It's the other possible props, if they get a chance and what they make of it that will define how good we are up front.

You surely have to be having a laugh about RCG.

Deadset....one year into his career and it was an exceptional year and you say he is a big slow plodder.

He was slow, slow hit ups and slow play the balls, generated practically no momentum, practically nothing for the backs to play off, Latimore offered more with his offloads.

RCG will go close to being one of our best front rowers if not the best.... shows a lot more than McKendry personally.

Latimore continues the go forward off the bench, he may not have the flair of a JWH or a Burgess but he's got some ticker in him with a handy offload.

I think our prop pecking order at the moment is
1. RCG 2. Mckendry 3. Latimore 4. Matagi 5. Latu 6. Kikau

Latimore and Mckendry could easily be bumped down to 4, 5 or 6 by the end of the year as Latu and Kikau in particular have much better footy ahead of them.

I don't think Griffin changes too much. His track record is similarly conservative compared to Cleary. The only really big call he has to make is Moylan/DWZ/Wallace. The rest (Blake/W. Smith/Rennings, Kikau/Latu/Matagi and Yeo/C. Smith/Sopoaga) you couldn't really fault whichever way he goes.

Did RCG sleep with your sister?!?

Surely your comments are nothing more than a gee up

It's comical, on a whole we had probably the worst go forward in the comp as far as from the front row, the space afforded the backs would have been if not the worst then definitely among the bottom three.

Yet you come here our front rowers are champs, bloody awesome.

Yes, RCG may well be close to our best front rower, and Latimore may not quite be a JWH or Burgess.

Rcg is a good one. Will play for nsw and Australia. Latimore is your basic stock standard front rower you know what we are going to get each game. McKendry is done. Wouldn't think another nrl club would even pick him up if we let him go.

New Penrith coach Anthony Griffin is yet to settle on a halves combination for the 2016 NRL season but under-pressure playmaker Jamie Soward is a step closer to reprising his role as five-eighth.
Soward has been shopped around to rival clubs with two years left on his deal at the foot of the mountains.
However, the former NSW State of Origin pivot has dug his heels in and is determined to stay with the Panthers.
When unveiled as new Panthers coach in late October, Griffin challenged Soward to show how much he wanted the job. A month later the former Brisbane mentor says Soward has done just that.
"He is training well, he is doing everything he needs to do," Griffin said at a fan day at Panthers Leagues on Saturday.
"There is no pressure on him.
"I have come in and I have high expectations on myself to make sure I do the best possible job I can and that is all I am looking for from everyone else. If we all do that we will make the most of the talent here."
Soward and Peter Wallace appear set to be retained as Penrith's halves combination after both suffered a severely disrupted 2015 through injury.

Matt Moylan, who continues to recover from an ankle injury suffered in May, is likely to play fullback.
Moylan has been linked to a frontline role with the Panthers but that may not come until 2017. Wallace is off contract with Penrith at the end of next season and Moylan could fill his spot in the halves.
In the meantime, Griffin is unlikely to commit to who plays where for the Panthers until the new year.
"I came in and didn't know anyone and I still here and still working and I will make those decisions closer to the season when I have a better handle on everything," he said.

There is a lot to like about fibromans lineup. You know the effort is there and they can put on a show, gives you a hard on just thinking about what the results would be at full time.

Soward has been booked in for back surgery which will see him miss a few weeks of the pre-season atleast. But hoping it puts him at 100% for Round 1.

Meanwhile in worse news... Moylan is still struggling with his injury and it's going to need to be managed for the rest of his career. Hopefully it's easy to manage. But the thought of him missing random games or worse stretches of games from an injury picked up 9 months ago really sucks.

Not good for either of them.
Here is the story.

PENRITH star Jamie Soward will go under the knife on Monday as he attempts to fix his troublesome back.
It’s not the first time the playmaker has needed surgery this year.
Soward was in hospital earlier in 2015 due to an ongoing issue with his lower back, in what was a difficult season for the 31-year-old.
In a positive sign for Panthers fans, the five-eighth expects to only be sidelined for a couple of weeks before he returns to training.
“Pre-Christmas running, kicking (and) passing,” Soward said of his expected return.
“(It’s) just an oil change to make sure I don’t miss any games. Not worth the rush.”
Battling injuries and inconsistent form, Soward’s having the minor surgical procedure done now to ensure he’s fully fit for when the Panthers’ season gets underway against Canberra on March 5 at GIO Stadium.
The news of Soward’s operation is far from ideal for new coach Anthony Griffin after it was revealed this week that superstar fullback Matt Moylan is still trying to manage the devastating ankle injury he suffered last season.

Moylan’s year was cut short after he suffered severe ligament damage to his ankle in late May.
It’s an injury he will need to deal with for the rest of his career.
The Panthers have struggled with injury recently. Peter Wallace’s year was cut short due to an ACL injury, his second in as many years, with the Panthers’ spine only spending a total of nine per cent of all last year’s games together.
