Your best Panther player so far.

Mansour, seg, peachy all explosive, latimore and plum all reliable. But in terms of being a wing or prop its hard to have a decisive impact on the result of the game.
Soward our most valuable.
Whare our best player in comparison to other players in the league in his position.

Soward & Segs have been standouts, Mansour, Idris & Wallace arent far behind.

Peachey is the one im excited about and Brown could be huge for us later this season if he keeps current form up.

Tho really, everyone has performed well this year, who can you say hasnt been up to scratch, Grant is the only one who comes to mind

Or maybe he's the same and the team has just got better

This is it. Last year on the left we had Newton, Walsh and Tighe. The right side just had to step on the field to be better. The fact they were good went that's where we directed our attack.

Compare that to this year. Aside from Wes don't have a bad player across the top 2 grades. This thread is a perfect example. There's about 8 players that are regulars as people's best.

Not our best but I think the hardest to cover if he were to go down injured right now would be Moylan.

Think that is it.

Last year he consistently stood out because the team around him tbh was mediocre due to halves & injuries.

This year the level of the team has caught up which means while he has been great, the rest of the team at times over-shadows him as Franklin has said whereas he has been consistently good all year.

Soward is the only player that if he was out for the year then so is our season

Agreed.

We have FB options that may not have the ball skills of Moylan would be a bit better speed/support wise.

If we lose Soward we are left with maybe Will Smith (Who may be good) or Tom Humble....that's a far greater drop off.

Whare.

re: Api, Gus made a comment about how it was "interesting" seeing Luke and Api on at the same time - something about both being able to break the line. Gave me the impression we might be seeing a bit of that trialed next year. Having two explosive hookers certainly keeps intensity up, but again at the cost of size.

Though, watching Luke and Api weaving up the middle certainly was something...

I couldn't pick one player in our NRl team, for me there hasn't been one standout as they have all played so well. So my best panther so far has been Waqa Blake , you didn't specify it had to be first grade and he has impressed the hell out of me!!

I am developing a bit of man love for Latimore tbh. He is starchy as f**k & usually manages at least one really nice play a game.

Our form in 2014 has been very much about the performance of the 'team' rather than one or two individuals.

The spine has been very good overall particularly in recent times with the settled Moylan, Soward, Wallace and Segeyaro combination working well.

I couldn't pick any one player thus far and everyone has contributed at some stage.

I do think however our on-going success will be reliant upon Soward and Wallace staying fit and injury free.

We can replace forwards in our pack, outside backs and Moylan at fullback should injuries occur but I am not sure we have the depth/quality in the halves to cover injury to either of the above. Particularly from the perspective of our kicking game.

This question is less important that noting how the Panthers have been playing for each other, as a team. They look like they expect to win which is half the battle.

I must say as a Wallace fan I feel vindicated having defended him for years to the Broncos fans (pretty much all of them) who wanted him flayed alive. He is an organiser and all he ever needed was a player who has a bit of spark and flair about him, which makes the recruitment of Soward doubly wise.

I know the broncos fans were giving it to him in his final years with you but on the few occasions I saw him play up there I didn't think he was that bad. I have been happy with him this year but I would have to say his last couple of games have not been his best.

This.

I can not pick one single player as our best so far. IMO the team as a unit has been fantastic. I could rattle out the same names as have been mentioned here, but there really is no point singling out a single player. We are turning out to be a champion team, not a team of champions. Remember that
