Oatley pie shop is still going & still makes pies to drive for.

Jesters pies are awesome.

Villis are the best of the rest.

Anyone remember Rosehill pies? They used to be great.

I would have been to hundreds of pie shops in my life and I can say that the stand out winner and the BEST pies I've ever had are from Maroubra beach pie shop.

Anyone else had pies from there? Nothing has ever come close in the hundreds of difference pies I've had!

Mate do yourself a favour, head into the Bondi westfields down the road, and get some PieFace. sh*ts all over Garlos

But is that shop open at 9pm after the games when I have knocked back a few at the club???

Didnt think so :(

You can't go past the 'tiger' at Harry's Cafe de Wheels...if you can put up with tourists it's always worth a shout at lunchtime...

nothing like spending half an hour tucking into mushy peas, gravy and mash atop your pie, whilst enjoying that distinctive Woolloomooloo ambience...

But the best pie I ever tasted was a simple meat & potato number in Preston, about a mile from North End's ground from a street vendor...

I can still taste that beauty when the mood's right...

There's some great pies up in FNQ - Mocha's pies at Port Douglas is fantastic. Also a great pie shop in Gordonvale next to the pub, I can't remember the name of it.

Tramcars in Gympie used to make good pies until they went commercial ala Yatala and started baking the pies offsite.

If i was eating local i would have to say that there is this gourmet pie shop out front of the spotlight archade on Queen Street. The Oyster Pie is a weird one but i keep going back for it...

thats Stockade Pies, i go there ehaps, i love their stuff. My fave is the Negg Kelly - mince, bacon and egg, their chunky steak one sare good too. havent had an oyster one but i may ahve to try it

i went to jesters eyars ago and they never did anything for me, I will ahve to check out pie face though - i had just assumed they were crap pies using a gimmick to sell them

This thread is so making me want to go to back to Oatley, now that i know they are still making those pies..... ARGHHHH

Like i said Pierced Soul, the Oyster pie has aquired taste but i recommend you try it once..

I have this thing for the pies in Campbelltown Marketplace, in the Bakery..

There is nothing fantastic about it's look and there is nothing gourmet about them but they are packed to the rafters and something about it's taste keeps me going back for them..
Curry and Mushroom are the 2 i go back for.
After a big night on the turps i often swing by there and throw down a couple and they hit the spot quiet well, they soak up the turps very easy..

The ones at braidwood are the best I've ever had but they're not a scratch now on what they were 20 years ago.

Roundabout Bakery at Temora - if you are ever out that way make sure you stop. Everyone else does - it's always full of people.
