thats Stockade Pies, i go there ehaps, i love their stuff. My fave is the Negg Kelly - mince, bacon and egg, their chunky steak one sare good too. havent had an oyster one but i may ahve to try it

I was just about to say Stockade Pies. That place is far & away my fave pie shop. The guy who owns it plays down the road for the 'Quins. On tuesday/thursday nights the days extras would come down to training & if you were quick you could get them for $1-2. Happy days all 'round then...

I think he means the shops between the Mall & Mac Square, across from Park Central. Just BEFORE Finance First.

yep found them today at lunch. the curry pie was good, the sausage roll was good but not up to stockade pies standards......i want another pie.....

No way up to the standards of Stockade pies..

But the advantage was you got a curry pie and a sausage roll for the price of 1 stockade pie .

I've never met a Asian Baker who can make as nice a pie as the one at Marketplace.

Pierced Soul, ever tried the pies at St Helens Park Bakery?, on Woodlands Road ?
Those pies used to be alot cheaper but they are a very nice pie none the less.

I would have been to hundreds of pie shops in my life and I can say that the stand out winner and the BEST pies I've ever had are from Maroubra beach pie shop.

Anyone else had pies from there? Nothing has ever come close in the hundreds of difference pies I've had!

on your word i shall head down to maroubra beach tomorrow. where abouts is the pie shop

Everlieghs pies in Newcastle (chicken and mushroom are good), the shop is oposite Energy Australia Stadium.
The best thing about Everleighs is that they cook up a batch for Knights home games and they are fresh out of the oven when you arrive before an early game. I always ask which are most recent out of the oven and buy that variety if it isn't something horrible.

Mrs Macs are sh*t.

My favourite pies (in no particular order)

Ponsonby Pies (Auckland) - any flavour
Miles Better Pies (Te Anau) - wild venison pie
Jimmys (Auckland) - steak and cheese
The Robertson Pie shop in the southern highlands ain't bad either.
