Needs more Matt Geyer.
Could play, and did, any position in the backline. Deceptively fast. Represented his state. 1999 NRL leading points scorer (242, 20 tries and 81 goals). 268 games, 113 tries, 662 career points.
And yet to anyone who isn’t a Melbourne supporter, he’s known predominantly as Mark Geyer’s younger brother.

This is very much a ‘that guy from my team’ post

But Corey Thompson is surely top of the list from today’s game

Luke Keary is highly rated by many, but he still isn't given sufficient credit for being one of the most gifted and versatile halves ever to play in the NRL.

Jamie Lyon is underrated in that he's one of the greatest centres to ever play the game. I think most people just say he was good and leave it at that.

Would have helped if he wasn't absent from Origin and tests during his ESL stint and after retiring from rep footy early. Also if he didn't have to play 5/8 a bunch of the time.
If he'd kept his 2001 form and stayed at Parra instead of going awol and then to England he would have had so much more hype around his whole career.

Brian Carney (Newcastle Knights). He is an International, but i never here him rated. I think he was outstanding and an absolute character.

Did win Dally M winger of the year during his only NRL year, so was pretty much best winger in the game. Only having one year here worked against him.

Brian Carney is one of the most underrated wingers ever to play in the NRL.

He is on the verge of a big promotion at Sky Sports TV (UK) in the coming months.

Alby, none of the Roosters ever are. Honestly, they deserve extra credit. None of this sufficient shit.
