How does Sika Manu, who has hardly played all season, get in ahead of Lima?

How does Ben Matulino, who has been pretty much unimpressive since about late 2008, get in at all....ahead of, let's say, Eddy Pettybourne?

I don't think Goodwin/Nightingale is a big deal either way, just baffled at what exactly Nightingale has done to get in ahead of the incumbent.

I also wonder how much has been done to try to get the likes of Vatuvei and Moimoi back on the field? Was Moimoi's injury even that serious? Pure speculation I know, but I do wonder.

We really are so cursed....there are no terrible players in that squad, but it seems as though all of our real impact/exciting players are the ones who get injured. I mean, Goodwin/Nightingale/Perrett are all decent players, but why is it that Tuiaki and Vatuvei are never available together? Pritchard and Moimoi are two of our big impact forwards and they get ruled out in the last week.

Although it is an inexperienced forward pack, I would rate it one of our more defensively intimidating forward packs in a few years.

Most Aussies will be more interested in the City/Country game at the same time won't they?

tbh one positive...I was about to say that the forward pack might be a bit overmatched, because the Aussies have picked a massive pack with 4 huge props- Shillington, Civoniceva, Weyman, Perry. But our pack with JWH and FPN, plus an ex-prop in Blair in the back-row and Manu/Matulino off the bench, has decent size as well. Also, Harrison/Blair/Taia has a lot of ball-playing, so maybe we might see some ball movement.

On the other hand, Perrett/Nightingale/Matai/Sau has a disturbing lack of speed and attacking prowess about it. Also, the short-arse factor is a worry in our backline when it comes to the high-ball.

Do you think Moimoi will be a late inclusion because we are paranoid about the judicary, smart move if it is. Kearney got dudded with a certain selection last year wouldnt suprise me if he's trying everything he can to stop it happening again, name him in place of an 'injured' player later in the week.

Just once i'd like to see us be able to field a full strength team.

The Beast and the Tank on the same team would be freeeeaking awesome.

Prichard, Asotasi, Moimoi and Smith are big losses....at least our 6,7,9 are healthy.

Our back line really sucks, Matai can put on the occasional big hit but he makes some horrendous reads in defence, imo Nightingale is barley fist grade standard.

Its good to see Sika there, may not have played much this year but will only play small minutes off the bench, the bloke is a monster, before he got injured he was one of the best forwards in the NRL.
