So where did I say that we should have been trying to offload Moylan because he is inexperienced?

I didn’t.

My point is, that our team is not weaker by the swap, because Maloney is at this point in his career, better.

I never said we should be trying to off load our players because they are inexperienced.

You clearly didn’t read it.
How is Maloney better at this point? Because he was lucky enough to come into the Roosters and Sharks team at the right time?

Or because he has lost more Origin series than Moylan has? In his premiership winning year Moylan destroyed him in playmaking. He was just in a shittier team.

Coote had never won a grand final when he was here. Neither had Jennings. Or Wade Graham. Clearly it had nothing to do with their ability though.

Tamou was a grand final winner and Origin player when we signed him. RCG shits on him though and has won nothing.

To be fair I think Moylan had to do more. Maloney had a much more experienced and balanced team in 2016.

In saying that I think Moylan has the higher ceiling.

Its amazing people forget how good our players are so quickly after missing a few games.. and automatically think adding a rep player or premiership winner improves us.

If both players find 2016 form again. Sharks have the most dangerous ball player in the competition. Sharks got a younger player with a higher ceiling.

Both guys had poor 2017s. Not just Moylan.

Moylan is simply a better player. Fans who turn on a guy after he leaves and say "oh he was never even that good" are the lowest fans on the planet

Moylan is easily the better ball player. I will miss those silky hands. It feels like Fittler all over again.

Edit: For me it's not that Moylan is bad I just think Maloney isn't either. Though I hate that we lost Moylan we can't change it now.

I’m not bagging Moylan, as I said, he was my favourite player and I look forward to seeing how he goes.

But, he deserted us, so I choose to welcome the new member of the team.

Not find every single negative thing I can to bag the new member of the team I love. That in my opinion is what the worst fans on the planet do.

Yes I bag Maloney's defence and discipline because they are the worst in the NRL....these are straight up facts

They were playing different roles.. how was Moylans kicking metres? Who won the premiership?

It’s silly to try and compare the two in this fashion. Pointless.

Fittler was forced to leave... if not for Super League, he never would have left. He’s said that on many occasions.

I know why he left. We are currently losing a player of huge talent to watch him go and have a great career elsewhere. I think we are seriously going to miss him. He may turn to plod but I seriously doubt it.

So you think if Maloney was at Panthers in 2016 we would have won the competition? No way.

Moylan at Sharks... they still win it.

Its a team sport. You use the team results to suggest one player is better and ignore the individual form.

Kick metres are about the easiest stat to inflate and mean absolutely nothing. A 5m kick could lead to a try. An 80m kick could lead to a 7 tackle set to the opposition. Any player is capable of punting a ball down field.

At the end of the day teams win ga mes through scoring more points than their opposition. Or from a defensive point of view conceding less.

Yes... Sharks were the best team in 2016. But Moylan was widely considered ther form player of the competition after Origin 3. He went to a level Maloney has never hit. He was just unfortunate to be in an average team.

Ennis and Barba were more important to Sharks in 2016. They lose them are drop to 5th place and being efliminated week 1 of finals. Maloney didnt win them the comp.

He choose to go. Moyza’s Choice, nothing we can do about it. That’s footy.
