I disagree I think Wal has still got something good to offer the team. I think perhaps 2018 should be his last year in top grade, but I think throwing others into such an important position is too soon. Less than 12months ago Wal was in origin (picked for origin) how do you go from origin to not being in the team amazes me.

Before his injuries last year he was very good. Since his service isn't good enough. Whether it's age or confidence something is happening. Hopefully he's over it come round one. I'm just judging from what we've seen and Katoa is better at the moment. I think Wal can offer plenty. I love him as a bloke and player. Maybe get him into a coaching position.

You can get him time easily if Katoa was starting. Katoa can play lock and backrow as well as having a break, a good 30 minute stint for Egan in FG each week is plenty of time for him to develop.

Katoa debuted when Cleary was still coach, he needs to be playing regular FG this season if he is going to kick on, Egan can get plenty out of NSW cup and whatever FG stints he can get.

Yeah given Wallace will obviously be starting(as captain) I think this is what will and should happen, I'd just like to see the Katoa/Egan combo at some point.

Sounds pretty realistic. With Wal retiring this year it makes for a good longterm plan.

Neither was Wallace and Kev would have been talked up the same as Wal with how dire the NSW hooking stocks are right now. The point is Wal is washed up and far too slow

They want Cleary. Maloney the imcumbent plays. We have no hooker and Wallace was picked last year so he will get the job. Peachey will play too regardless of form, Freddy loves him

I agree. Peats did nothing in attack but defended really well. Good for Loz but Freddie is a different type of coach. He likes his teams to attack with great enthusiasm. Having a club combo will strengthen that and Wal will run from dummy half if given the chance.

I think where there is no stand outs club combos will win out. Hooker being one if a hooker can be found that has a combo with a half they will play

Like you said he loves Peachy but he loves Cleary more. If you're right (I think you are) than it'll likely be a spine of.
