Good to see you make the plunge Reidy87, welcome!

Where do you expect the boys to finish in 2013?

he has signed and was at broncos training today, pictures on the broncos website.

I never doubted they signed him, but it was done with little fanfare and again was against the grain of Hook's "we have everyone we need already" line.

If Prince is No.25 in the Broncs pecking order, where does that leave Stagg exactly?

I still think or prospects are looking better with an old head half who can calm the boys down and get some structure close to the line - might score some points in 2013.

Welcome mate, we're all hoping Griffin & Kearney can come up with some bloody set plays for once too.

What fan fare do you expect to see with Stagg?

He is a bench player......he's there to shore up the bench.

An announcement by the club at least might be considered reasonable by some?

Still, fair enough I suppose I mean with "only" 186 NRL games under his belt and an origin cap, he's no Jake Granville or Joe Bond, is he...

Thanks Pete/ Some11.

I expect the team will be better off for the experience of fading in the latter half of last year. Coming into Origin people were saying Storm, Broncs and daylight next.

If our halves click and a few of this year's underachievers find form - we could comfortably make the top four.

And Jason, Stagg's signing was reported but not 'big' news. Like you, I'm a bit annoyed at how underrated he is. He was off contract a while ago - yet no other club thought to offer him a contract..? Crazy stuff.

yeah i do believe griffin is talking a bit of shit in the media. of course we wouldn't sign great players just to have them as reserves. it was announced online, which is pretty much the go to news source nowadays.
he's not as good a player as prince is, but still i think stagg is very underrated, was a great player at the bulldogs until des came, and relegated him to the bench. but i couldn't see him playing any other position but lock and we have corey there doing that job, so i guess he will be on the bench.

1. Norman
2. Copley
3. Reed
4. Hodges
5. Maranta
6. Prince
7. Wallace
8. Hannant
9. McCullough
10. McGuire
11. Glenn
12. Stagg
13. Parker
14. Hunt
15. Gillett
16. Thaiday
17. Dodds

We are light on props and Thaiday has been in bad form and shown poor fitness so I put him on the bench. Dodds I prefer over Hala because he has better fitness and defence plus he isnt coming off injury.

I left Wallace at halfback because he is slow and that would hurt his performance at 5/8th. I also believe he isn't great at playing what he sees on the field so if he had to link up with backs alot we would suffer.

so why not f*ck him off all together then....?

Given the recent revelations about the intentions of one J.Hodges, I've decided to revise my desired lineup:

1. Hodges - if he wants to play there, and is putting in the hard yards pre-season, then it's another no-brainer for me.
2. Maranta
3. Reed
4. Copley - apparently centre is his best position anyway. He has the strength for it
5. Hoffman - he is an international after all - he deserves a spot somewhere even if it isn't his preferred position.
6. Norman
7. Prince
8. Hannant
9. McCullough
10. McGuire
11. Glenn
12. Thaiday
13. Parker

14. Hunt
15. Stagg
16. Gillett
17. Hala

That's a good side there Grimey, though I suspect if Hook played Hodges at fullback, he'll move Norman into the centres, keep Wallace in the halves and have Maranta waiting in the wings.

I'm torn on Wallace, for years I thought he was rubbish and now I really want to like him and watch him shine, but I just don't think it's going to happen...

I like Hunt the most of our long-term half prospects, but all this bench hooker nonsense is not good for his development...

I've wanted this for the last 5 years too, I give up after this year though.

Exact same starting 13 I'd have =P

I don't think Hook will completely cut Norman though, unfortunately, I'd say it's more likely we see Norman, Reed in the centres, Hodges at fullback, Hoffman, Copley on the wing.

He isn't at the stage of his career where he deserves anything. Doesn't run the ball back hard and can't catch a bomb so he should be a reserve winger at best.
