Your team for next week

I thought you's were diabolical and offered little to know attacking potency. Hayne looked completely disinterested and had one of his worst games in a fair while.

Your forward pack though talented is lacking experience (big time). Hindmarsh can't guide the other forwards around by himself, Ben Smith did do a good job for you guys cleaning up the rucks.

Souths played average also and didn't do a whole lot to stamp their authority on the game, It was just you guys were horrendous.

Robson & Mortimer just don't cut it as a NRL standard halves combo.

Tim Mannah was really good last week starting yesterday but decided to go with experience and start with Webb.

I'll have a go at what I think your team should run with for next week.

1. Tom Humble
2. Chris Walker
3. Paul Whatuira
4. Joel Reddy
5. Chris Hicks
6. Jarryd Hayne
7. Jeff Robson
8. Shane Shackleton
9. Matthew Keating
10. Carl Webb
11. Nathan Hindmarsh
12. Taniela Lasalo
13. Ben Smith

14. Casey McGuire
15. Fui Fui Moi Moi
16. Justin Horo
17. Tim Mannah

Basically tried to provide a bench with maximum impact, Webb only to play the first 20 then Mannah to come on and play out the game at prop. Moi Moi to come on after 20 and then play throughout the game in stints.

Hayne needs to be closer to the action, Both Robson and Mortimer weren't great last night but I think the team needs the experience over youth potential so I went with Robson.

LOL much? Humble hasnt played this season at all same as Carl Webb.. Matt Keating starting over McGuire?

The First 40 mins for the eels they didnt go too bad at all should have gone to the break with the lead... In the second 40 Ben smith basically gave the game away him and Moi Moi being sin binned...

Only reason souths won is the eels were down to 12 men and the left hand defence let in a few tries fix that up and they would have won...

It's pretty hard to pick a good backline... if I see a backline named without Reddy I will scream!

We can maybe carry one guy not quite to NRL standard, but not two or three (as SK has been doing)!

1. Jarryd Hayne
2. Luke Burt
3. ?... Lucky door prize at training
4. Joel Reddy !!!!!!!!
5. ?... Etu Uaisele / Chris Hicks
6. Daniel Mortimer (sigh)
7. Jeff Robson
8. Tim Mannah
9. Matthew Keating
10. Fuifui Moimoi (assumed no case to answer on report)
11. Nathan Hindmarsh
12. Taniela Lasalo
13. Ben Smith

14. Anthony Mitchell (why not?)
15. Justin Horo
16. Shane Shackleton
17. Carl Webb !!!!!!!!

Assumed injured - would all go straight into the squad when fit: Casey Maguire (9), Chris Walker (5 - he's not a centre), Justin Poore (17).

Assumed  Wenty: Ryan Morgan, Billy Rogers, Mitchell Allgood.

Assumed missing: Tom Humble (otherwise would go straight into starting line-up at 3)

How much trouble is Fui in?
BTW ,if Charlie Webb is fit , you'd have to pick him if only for the "stick it up your old club's arse" factor

Thats actually a pretty good call actually, I think he would be fired up for a big one next week, Id at least give him a spot in the 17 even if Fui does end up playing.

Yes. And the refs might have some pity on us, too.

Tom Humble isn`t available for selection yet. But when he is, I think he`ll be better suited to five-eight. Hayne`s better suited to fullback. After he finds his feet, it`ll be great to see Hayne playing off Humble. Then we might see some attack.
