Waltzing had a bit of a shocker, but that is very unusual for him. He is normally solid. The whole team fumbled it's way through the game lucky it wasn't a cricket score. Newcastle are always the same if they get off on the wrong foot. Mistakes in the start of the game put us on the back foot, where we stayed all night. I thought for all the mistakes and injuries overall not a bad result. Lets hope it's our bad game of the season. I think Wayne may run with the same line up, the week before it worked, and time will make it better. Gid's will back in a couple of weeks, so we need to work with what we have. Chopping and changing does us no good as we know from the past. I am confident the team will bounce back and have a blinder next week.

Yep, that side looks good. Where's Zane T at the moment?
Bennett is obviously keen to turn him back into a second rower and made several comments in the off season about him being a better athlete than he thought and about him being one of the guys who surprized him.
Zane played either lock or second row all through the trials and has been playing second row in all three games of NSW cup.
I think he would walk into the prop rotation if Bennett saw him as a prop, but Bennett sees him as a long term second rower.

I don't care who is in the side provided we actually have a five-eighth playing five-eighth.

If our attitude and physical presence doesnt improve for the dogs, we'll get pumped.

Teams know that they can bully us, until that changes we are going to struggle.

Still not buying the Dogs form. They struggled to put Penrith away. They beat a woeful St George. The Warriors put 18 points on them after they led 16 nil. Mateo comes off the bench and the game turned on it's head. The Dogs are not the dominant side everyone is making out. If Barba gets injured they could struggle a lot. His genius is the only reason they beat the warriors yesterday. A privelege to watch a player that good.

Yeah I agree. The Warriors should have put them away even after giving them a 16 point start. I remember they won their first 3 last year as well and everyone was going nuts over them.

We will have to watch Pritchard and Kasiano though, those two are playing well and can do some damage up the middle.

Pritchard is their key with his offloads and overall presence. In career best form. He and Barba. I hope Wayne really works on a way to significantly limit Barba's impact. We will go along way toward winning the game if we do that effectively.

One way to limit Barba's impact could be to do something similar to what teams did to Slater a few years ago - put the ball out whenever possible. That way you don't run the risk of having a staggered kick-chase.

If you ask 100 people who is better between Barba and Boyd, 98 of them would say Boyd. It's our fullback they should be worried about. Have some faith in the boys lad!

Yosh, Boyd could play the game of the year for himself personally but if we don't stop Barba running in open play then it won't mean a thing. It has nothing to do with how good Boyd is.
