Penrith:
Michael Jennings (Centre/Wing) - Jennings will be a superstar of the game, I have absolutely no doubt about it. He WILL get his chance to shine next year despite being 17. He developed a lot this year in his size and he will be a key figure in the Panthers Jersey Flegg title assault and also will be a key player in the Panthers rebuilding towards a premiership in First Grade. He is a strong runner of the ball, possesses great acceleration and can break tackles with ease. He has already represented Australian Schoolboys and NSW Under 18's and 19's. I have no doubt he will be the most talented back to come out of Penrith since Brad Fittler. This year he won the SG Ball player of the year and was also player of the final at the Australian Schoolboys Championship.
Tim Grant (Prop) - Another of Penrith's triumphant SG Ball campaign this season. He moved up to Flegg with Michael Jennings and like Jennings has become a key figure in this team. At only 17 years of age, he has the size of most first grade props and the heart to match it. An inspirational leader on the field, as was displayed as he led the Panthers SG Ball side, Grant never takes a backward step. IMO he will be the best forward Penrith has developed since Mark Geyer. His go forward, offloading ability, leadership and great football brain will put him in good sted for the future.
Jarrod Sammut (Five-eight/Half/Fullback) - A talented ballplayer and runner, Sammut has a proven knack of being high in the tryscoring and overall pointscoring stakes in any grade he plays. Last season he was top pointscorer in SG Ball, despite missing 3 games. This season before his transition to PL for 6 weeks, he was leading tryscorer in Jersey Flegg, this is after playing 5 weeks off the bench. He has quickly established himself as a premier five-eight who was highly saught after by numerous NRL clubs. His utility value alone will make him a valuable commodity for the Panthers over the next 3 years. He may not get a shot next year, as the only thing holding him back is his size. He has as much talent as Preston Campbell and the same elusiveness...unfortunately, the same defensive problems too. Once those are ironed out, he will feature in our first grade side and lead us to glory once again.
Geoff Daniella (Centre/Fullback/Wing/Five-eight) - Geoff has had an unlucky two years, but this year has come back with a vengence. Keen to put the demons of the past two years behind him, he has trained hard and built up to a point where he is now being discussed as a potential first grader next year. A key figure in St Dom's Arrive Alive Cup victory 3 seasons ago, he was rushed into Flegg too early. This season he has started to show the potential he always possessed. His elusiveness and speed are a great asset.
Paul Aiton - This young man has been seen by everyone this year, so I wont spend much time on him. 2007 should be a year were Aiton explodes literally. I believe his future for the time being, till Priddis retires, is at lock and where he can provide great bruising defence and also quick 1-2 dummy half running.
Matthew Forwood (Winger/Fullback) - Matt Forwood as been a prominant figure in the Panthers Jersey Flegg and PL teams for the last two seasons. He has proven that he is an onfield leader as well as solid winger and pointscorer. He will be in the fold for a first grade appearance next year, but its more than likely 2008 will be his year.
Corey Vlacky (Second Row) - Has really risen up in the second rower stakes at Penrith. His toughness is a great asset to have and he is very much an Andrew Ryan style second rower. He will get a chance through injuries if they occur next year.
