Who will have a great Season for your club
Is there a player you feel will realy step up and show his true potential from one of your established Superstars or someones that has been in the background for a while or is it someone that has just joined your club

for Manly I really think that Jamie Lyon may be in for a big season as he has shed 15kg and is now fitter than 2007 and to maybe prove a lot of doubters wrong about the 2007 over-rated tag

Also Mick Bani on the wing who has built up and seems a lot more confident player and will step up to Hicks wing spot with ease

and Anthony Watmough to really get stuck in and get an Origin spot after proving that the GF was just a hiccup

and watch for later in the season for Jared Waerea-Hargreaves

would have said ben te'o in a flash however he was average against the roosters and by all reports the same against the titans. still hoping it can be him.

however ill go with keith galloway to finally stand up and play to what we're paying him.

also going on trial form chris lawrence to continue he's outstanding try scoring record and be a genuine origin contender.

usual suspects for us... expect Logan and Tongue to keep on keeping on. But the big movers for mine:

Lincoln Withers i think is primed for a big year, last year was his first as a specialist starting hooker, he still has come chinks in the armour but he's all heart. Will have a big year for the Raiders imo.

Todd Carney, William Zillman will be two young guys that take their game to the next level. They are both enormusly talented and i think they'll form a lethal 1-2 combination for the Raiders.

Joel Monaghan will push for SOO duties, he wont get there, too much centre/wing talent in the mix but he'll play country origin and he'll be mentioned come origin time as an outsider.

what about other teams?

I think joel clinton is in for a good year at broncos, Sammut for penrith, ben smith for the eels and ben cross for the knights... some roughie predictions, but Mitchell Pearce might be in for a neat year and i think Jarod Mullen might struggle for the knights

I am actually really looking forward to watching Sammut in a full season of nrl, the guy is really exciting to watch, great player.

Cooper Cronk stepped up last season and i think this year he will even more. He's had two years at half back and come a very long way and he's going lift another notch i think.

Billy Slater is in much the same boat in that he stepped up big time last year and IMO had his best season overall by far and i think he'll have an even better one this year. He pretty much cut out the little mistakes he tended to make and also played in the dummy half role a fair bit which is another thing he's brought into his game and made a much more rounded player.

He had more try assists than tries which makes him just as dangerous setting them up as what he is scoring them. Word is he's been working a lot on his kicking game as well so if he can get that down it'll give us another option besides Cronk and Smith which can only be a good thing for us. Barring injury he's going to have a very big year.

Iosia Soliola to really stand up & prove himself to be the gamebreaking centre he was in the 2006 Tri-Nations.

Mitchell Pearce & Braith Anasta to forge an outstanding halves combination,

Lopini Paea to emerge as one of the better props in the NRL (was racking up Asotasi like figures at the end of last year).

Nate Myles to fill Morleys role as the enforcer.

He can't shed how poorly he played in 2007. Although i really hope he can find some awesome form. As a NSW supporter, it would be great to see him at his peak. If he has lost that much weight, he should be a really great chance at doing so.

Hopefully Manly use him at centre.

If Zillman's knee has pulled up ok (sounds like it has with a 70m dart to the try line last week) then I anticipate a huge year for him.

Todd Carney will be pushing for origin selection this season so I think we'll be seeing his best footy this year. Hopefully local reports are accurate and he'll be re-signing soon.

The young blokes Marc Herbert and Joel Thompson will be worth keeping an eye on also.

Slater should have been Australia's fullback in the end of season test imo

How much does he weigh now? I know he'd been in a good paddock and had a fair bit to lose but 15 kg's sounds like a lot.
