We have the money.
The local footy comp attracts more crowds than the local NRL comp.

How do you people claim footy is NRL.
I grew up and when all the media said football everyone knew what it was.
Australia has footy or football and we all know what it means from the days of Ron Casey and Lou Richards on the tele on the weekend and Rex Hunt and Crackers Keenan and all the other great names.
We all know what footy is.
When soccer tried to hijak the name we all signed petitions.

Nothing happened when the Carrara Koalas won 3 androtops in a row a few years ago.
Lucky they play cricket at the Gabba otherwise it would never get to even half full
