Thank God we don't have you lot playing for the Eels, you have thrown your backside in the corner after one lousy half of football. The Parra side have probably lost three halves of football in about their last ten games. One to Melbourne Storm last year, one to the penrith Panthers in the last game last year, and the first half against the Big bad Bulldogs. Ye of little faith.
Start to panic if the team loses a few more in a row. It's not even the end of March... The final series is another eight months away. Give us a break. Support your team, your coach, your Club and the players. If you can't take the heat get to buggary.

actually, it's not my passion that would be questioned if i was lining up for the eels last saturday

i'm not gonna lie, in defense i would've been almost worse than mick vella. and in attack, the only way i could've made any metres would've been by running at willie mason

Well said old man. I hope parra get back to the way they were playing during the closing stages of last season right now that might make them better later on in the season.

And i can take the heat because its early in the season and we might learn from the loss or any upcoming losses!

It was the first game they were rusty in the first half and it was badluck playing the dogs. The dogs would of done almost the same to most of the other sides.

Im sorry Pete but don't come in here on your bloody high horse and start questioning everyones support for the Eels. Whilst not everyone in here holds the same opinion on our coach, players etc. there is no question that everyone in here supports the Eels 100% win lose or draw! I'm sure every supporter in here wants nothing more than for the Eels to be successful. After a flogging like we copped against the Bulldogs there will always be some bitching and moaning but thats a good thing. It shows that we want our club to be successful and we care enough about it to come in here and talk about it. The last thing I want is for our club and supporters to start accepting embarrassing defeats and turn into Souths!

You are right, there is no need to panic (yet), there's a long season ahead and plenty of time to turn things around hopefully starting with this weekend...

Excuse me, but who in the blue hell do you think you are to try to tell me how to support my team?

If you are pleased with mediocre efforts, then so be it.

But unlike you, I realise the talent and potential of our team. And when they don't realise this potential, it is a huge kick in the arse for any fan.

Parramatta could lose EVERY game of the season, and, while I'd be a little ticked off and unhappy, I would not EVER question my team. I LOVE THE EELS. Thus my support of theirs is UNCONDITIONAL. Often I have said I would rather win 10 consecutive Wooden Spoons and see the boys doing their best than win 1 Premiership in ten years and the other years they don't try at all.

There were few excuses for our performance last week, but there WERE some:

* We were trying out new tactics (bigger men)

* The Dogs were VERY pumped and playing for sponsorship

* I question the decision of marking Muzza against a bigger, faster and stronger opponent in Bill Williams

* Some blokes' heads weren't in the match (not just Killer; I also noticed Kat seemed uninterested after the first 40)

Yes it is just round one. Yes the finals are in months' time. Yes we need not panic.

But the reality is the game was there for the taking and we didn't. And the reality is if we make the Top 8 or Top 4, we will probably have to play the Dogs at some stage. And if we perform like we did last time, we won't get anywhere.

However, time heals all wounds and the possibility is that we will improve.
