He's so "un-Manly". Like Manly are pricks and everyone hates 'em and they f**king lap it up. Barrett is a softy pretty boy who is neither here nor there on hateability.

Des was a cagey old merkin who instilled a siege mentality and constantly had one of the best teams of the decade flying under the radar and written off. He had mongrel and was Manly through and through.

Tooves a was cranky, uncompromising little shit full of mongrel and Manly through and through. Landed a fast ageing and highly paid playing group who were a bit divided. Had to make some tough calls and looking at Watmough and G. Stewart post-Manly you'd say they were good calls.

Barrett is a weird choice away from what worked and the culture they'd built.

Funny last year when the media were loving Bozo for rebuilding Manly with a side that can make top 4. Bozo said himself it's a top 8 side also said Barrett is the next big thing in coaching.
Hadley and Buzz went very quiet quickly too afraid of the big Bonzo. If it was any other club Barrett would of been sacked by now.

His appointment would have to be one of the worst decisions that Manly have made in their history.

Sounds odd, but this was the start to 2017 Manly needed for the longer term good. We will be poor this year, but hopefully the addition of Cleary or Hasler might have us back in a couple of years.

Looking at some of the recruitment choices, you just shake your head and wonder what it is they actually see. And what's worse is they are repeating the same mistakes, wingers who can't catch. Offloading tackle work horses like Buhrer. Keeping Kourisou and letting Parcell go. Signing DCE to a mega deal when they could have picked up something much cheaper like Ash Taylor.

From a coaching perspective, the attack is going fine, but the D looks like Peter Sharp days.

Completely agree with all that are saying Manly have moved away from the winning formula. You don't need to be menza worthy to work it out either.

What kind of coach agrees to buying Uate in return for selling Buhrer?

I'm not complaining about it but surely that has to go down as one of the worst ever trade deals

haha that's my favourite one of all by far. How in f**k's name do you confuse his with he's ? People who do that should be executed immediately. Or failing the execution, be locked in a room with and forced to listen to Pauline Hanson and Jackie Lambie reciting poetry for 7 days straight.
