Sacking people probably needs pretty solid legal grounds .... are you saying we need to have sacked merkins?

Dont get me wron, Im not saying you are totally off here ... we have re-signed some merkins who have issues

I would be sticking semi and jarryd in the list too ....

I reckon Edwards should have been sacked by now and possibly Norman too. The rest, suspensions are warranted. But Edwards in particular has a long wrap sheet and has not learned a thing.

They all resulted in either a suspension and/or involvement with the law. I didn’t just make shit up.
Not suggesting that you did. To include a similar level of offence for every club will take a lot of time and research.

Roosters give us a run for our money.

Paul Carter may even be a bigger dick than Kenny Edwards.

Unfortunately 2013 doesn’t count (BA started as head coach in 2014)

I would probably agree about Kenny ... though my judgement is probably clouded by the fact i have lost faith in him on the field .... corey is one piss poor game and a sex tape away from me giving him the ass too

HOWEVER, having said that, we all pissed and moaned like f**kwits for years about how soft and gutless our players were ... no merkins, no balls to fire up in games, etc, etc .... and I reckon you dont get merkin behaviour from off field angels ... so you want a bit of toughness then you might need to suck it up a bit

Missed at least one for the Sharks, Dugan and Fifita being pests on the piss earlier in the year.

This last year:

I reckon Bird and Val Holmes were involved in something at a pub last year too?

Sharks win in a canter IMO (although another club might come out of the woodwork when Gary does his fking job!)

So I've done a fair bit more research and I went to cut and paste only to be told I have exceeded the number of characters for a post. FFS Twiz!!!!

I assume that means number of symbols rather than actual "characters", because to be honest it was pretty depressing researching f**kwit after f**kwit. That said, with the assistance of fans of each club I could easily double what I came up with.

Overall, I think we are definitely above average for poor behaviour but there are still A LOT of clubs who's list of indiscretions look very poor.

So, in summary - Yes we have some big discipline issues to deal with, but shit behaviour by ratbag NRL players is a major problem for the ENTIRE CODE.

How seriously does BA really take discipline? Ive been thinking about the amount of negative off field incidents that have occurred since he has been in charge:

- Kaysa gets Kenny Edwards to take a drug test for him
- Kenny Edwards assault charge on the Gold Coast
- Junior Paulo road rage incident
- Corey Norman caught with ecstasy
- Junior Paulo and Corey Norman consorting with criminals
- Corey Norman and his Canadian Club pussy licking movie
- Peni Terepo careless driving and refusing to give a blood test (I wonder what was in his system?)
- T-Rex DUI charge
- Kenny Edwards intimidation charge
- Kenny Edwards suspended license, alleged driving with a suspended license and evading police. As well as failing to inform the club when it happened.

Is there anything I have missed? (Semi not guilty so I’m not including that incident)

The place is a f**king shambles
Good thread Noise. Finally even the Chairman admits there may be a problem but is still to a degree in denial.

Parramatta chairman admits the club may have a culture problem

It’s probably the strongest admission you will ever get from an NRL club chairman.

But Parramatta boss Max Donnelly has conceded: “I didn’t think culture was a problem but you have got to question it.”

On the day troubled forward Kenny Edwards is due to front court after allegedly doing a runner from police after being spotted driving while suspended, Donnelly opened up to The Daily Telegraph.

In a wideranging interview, Donnelly hit back at suggestions from Ray Hadley that Brad Arthur had lost the dressing room and addressed Jarryd Hayne’s future beyond this year.

“I certainly deny anything like the coach has lost the dressing room,” Donnelly said.

Asked specifically if he believed Arthur was the right man to lead the club long-term, Donnelly said: “At the moment I believe he is and he is contracted until 2019.”

Donnelly is the administrator who was brought in to clean up the Eels’ salary cap scandal mess.

But problems on and off the field continue to tear at the club’s reputation.

You only have to look at the success of their cash-strapped rivals the Wests Tigers to see how quickly a club can turn things around after years of underachieving, if the right people are appointed in the right positions.

While the Tigers don’t have near the rivers of gold Parramatta’s wealthy Leagues Club provides them, the Tigers have made a strategic choice under new chief executive Justin Pascoe and coach Ivan Cleary to base their recruitment strategy around character and players willing to buy into team culture ahead of talent and reputation.

The likes of Russell Packer and Benji Marshall are the perfect examples of the type of players now driving the Tigers’ culture.

With that put to Donnelly, he said: “I can’t argue with you but I don’t think there is the (culture) problem you are suggesting at Parramatta.

“There may be something in it. But (chief executive) Bernie (Gurr) runs a pretty good front office.”

Parramatta hold the longest premiership drought of all NRL clubs, having not won the title since 1986 under John Monie.

They also have the second biggest junior catchment in the NRL behind Penrith yet continually struggle to produce and retain local talent.

Their two best young talents, five-eighth Jaeman Salmon and back-rower Maraka Niukore, came from rival clubs.

Arthur has also been criticised for his recruitment and retention policy, dating back to Anthony Watmough and Kieran Foran, deals that ended in disaster.

But Donnelly denied recruitment was a problem.

Max needs some media training.

He was on message until he said "there may be something in it". I bet he regrets that.

Seriously where the f**k is Bernie Gurr? Is he missing or in Disneyland? First, he gave us this abomination of a jersey which is cursed as it's the one with most spoons attached to it and then he allows an administrator come token chairman to make statements on behalf of the club. Isn't Gurr the boss? I see no leadership from Gurr at the moment.

Like some others I've wondered if BA is a bit close to his players. It's his first NRL coaching gig after all. He may feel a bit beholden to them as their performances have kept him in a job. First time coaches who fail are lucky to get another head gig. That said, I'm not writing him off or voting for change. In games decided by ten points or less we are 1-6 this year, while last year we were 8-1. Less than two converted trys is a close game imo.
