The only thing Laurie has done to upset him is play in a Rugby League competition he didn't like. When he was about 4 years old.

How about being NSW's shittest ever selector? He's about to sink us for at least Origin 13 as a coach, too.

Small potatoes next to his unapologetic betrayal of our game, but still, Origin is important.

I could have killed that merkin looking at that goofy grin last night. He is just a low, vile, & incompetent animal. Being a celebrity figure, its comforting to know any tragedies in his life will be public knowledge. Him, & the rest of his SL filth brigade.

Yeah, yeah, I can hear all the wailing about that remark already. Shut up, you apologist morons.

You know you're a NSWman when you find yourself in a bar last night droning out to your friends conversation because you've become fixated on staring at the life-size cut-out of Laurie Daley behind the bar.

I want that f**ker dead.

You know you're a NSWman when you're flying down from Brisbane to go to Game 1 because you realise that it's a hell of a lot better to support your team than hate on the coach because he didn't select the exact 17 players you want...

Well said.

We all have our opinions on who we think are the best players within the game plan to achieve the goal. We're not the ones in camp at the moment putting it together.

Daley, as did Stuart, reckons mobility is the NSW strength and the composition of players he thinks best suits it.

It's a collective, not about individual personalities or particular club representation. We all have one thing in common. We're NSWelshmen. That's what representation is about. That's what Origin is about.

Team is selected, time to get on and support a Game 1 win.

f**kIN' UNITE merkinS!

Let me know when you find someone pissed off a coach hasn't selected an exact 17 a fan wanted, because it isn't me.

I like this quote from Wayne Bennett in an article in the smh today...

''I hate finding fault with squads that are picked; everyone has got an opinion on it,'' he said. ''Let them get out there and play the game and we will all be a lot wiser.
''Give them an opportunity to do their best, and if they don't come up on the night then you can start second-guessing. Give them a bit of respect. These guys don't pick themselves, there's no point criticising them. You have to assume the selectors know what they are doing so let's give them a bit of grace, let them get to the first game and see whether they got it right or wrong.''

So every New South Welshman should get behind the Blues this Wednesday night, lets smack those f**king Maroons!

Well, that's one way of putting it. Certainly we can't use facts to determine they know what they're doing.

When are you guys going to realise that Daley couldn't bring another prop into the 17 based on the other forwards he had?

He's already got his middle rotation for the game. Bringing in another prop f**ks with his strategy and the use of the players he's already picked. If you nuffies haven't realised, he's also chosen to go small and mobile.

The squad needed another right-side player. That's what Reynolds is at Canterbury. He picked Hoffman as the specialist left forward and there are Bird and Watmough who can fill in here too. Sutton is left side player at Souths as well.

Personally, I would've gone either Hinchcliffe or T Sims. Both are right side forwards who can interchange with Lewis and actually be used. NSW have made the wasted selection on the bench an art form. QLD always use their 17. Hinchcliffe also has the benefit of filling in at Acting half if required.

But another prop could not fit.

And maybe people don't agree with that? Just as they didn't agree with Stuart's idiotic strategy of putting Ben Creagh and such on at prop. f**k one of the backrowers off and have something like Tamou, Grant, Fifita and Woods and he'd be set. Forget about having middle rotation bullshit and have simple prop rotation. Then have Gallen, Lewis, Merrin, Bird and Watmough as backrowers. Any of Lewis, Gallen, Watmough and Bird can play either left or right and have done so for NSW and Australia in the past. Lewis and Bird can cover halves and outside backs without having a utility that is likely to never get on the field sitting on the bench all game.

People are allowed to disagree with Daley's strategy, especially when it hasn't worked in the past. Stuart's strategy worked best when he finally took Gallen out of prop and brought Grant in.

Looking forward to the game.

There is enough talent in the side to get the job done.

Wait and see on the night I guess

That's the thing, NSW supporters who know Rugby League know that selectors DON'T KNOW what they're doing, and it's been proven for the last few years (7 years).

Daley stood himself down 3 years ago as a selector, WTF does that say? and Bozo continues to think he's state mayor and makes howling decisions like Buhrer. FFS we've had enough.

Game 3 last year was the closest we've had to winning a series because the team did not consist of 'Origin made players' or debutant utilities that hadn't even played certain positions at club level. Fans had been screaming that before Game 1, and by the time those dimwits realised it was too late.

I've made my thoughts clear ad nauseam in the months (yes months, not days) in the lead-up on what I think the composition of the middle rotation should be. That is, a conventional 4-man REAL prop rotation complimented by one smaller forward in the run on, and another on the interchange bench. I even called for 4 genuine forwards on the bench and not one wasted on a utility that is only there for a contingency in case of injury, and was critical of the actual mobile route that Daley decided to take with his forwards.

In the end, I don't pick the f**kin team. Folks here are having a hissy fit because their team hasn't been selected. Nothing like 7 series loses to deflate morale, split the ranks and everyone thinking their way is the right way. I'm same. When either of us are Head Coach of NSW, then we can put together our own squad to take on the Maroons. Oh wait.

The way some blokes on here crap on about players in their teams seems to imply that they think players have no structure on the field and just call for the ball whenever they want or randomly form in defence wherever there is a spot in the line.

Gallen, Tamou, Bird, Fifita, Merrin, & Watmough are already earmarked to run through the middle of Daley's team. This wasn't going to be altered when Gidley pulled out because the crux of his formation was still in tact. If he lost a back rower in that lot or even Hoffman & Lewis, then perhaps he could've made the adjustment, but he didn't and adding another prop to what he's got would alter how he uses everyone else. One or two of those players would get much less game time and the potential efficacy of their use is reduced.

Daley had his structure in place and it wasn't affected when Gidley went down.

As I said, I don't agree with it and can see yet another game where NSW play with 16 men against QLD's 17, but I'm a NSWelshman and now is the time to support the team.

Yep, it's all the selectors' fault NSW haven't won a series since 2005, nothing to do with the players Qld have had in the 1,6,7 and 9...
