    Carney keen for big season

    The guy still goes missing far too often for a top-line playmaker. But he is making all the right noises regarding 2008 (and sticking with the Raiders) - so hopefully he steps it up next season. He has to get his life in order though too which is a big priority. No more 'incidents.'

    I've heard that about Willow, I thought that was in the crossover between the Mal and Elliott eras. Elliott didn't rate him and rumours of a bad influence were floating around. Then again Elliott told Tongue he wasn't up to FG ... :crazy:

    Have updated the thread to indicate Bickerstaff's departure, as well as the offered release of David Howell. Apparently Rothery and Williams will not be around after this year. Any news on any other people? I'll put them in the 'not sure what they're doing' category :)

    It had to be done on both accounts... we got zero value out of Bickerstaff and he's on pretty good $$$, and Howell... well, Henry has seen the light. Interesting that Goodwin wasn't picked at FB for the final rounds of the season if everyone at the club knew this was coming.

    I don't agree with that. I also think we will struggle to get him on the field, as has been the case his whole career. Weyman is playing more than him these days, says a lot.
