It wasn't that long ago that the same football club drew nearly as many fans as a complete round of games in Australia.

Round 6 results:

Friday

Crusaders 22-32 Catalan (3,517)
Huddersfield 6-20 Wigan (8,151)
Hull FC 6-20 Wakefield (11,032)
Salford 34-18 Hull KR (4,408)

TV game was the top of the table clash between Hudds and Wigan and what a game it was. The score doesnt reflect the game because there was nothing in it all the way until the last 5 mins when wigan kicked a penalty and then went and scored a try in the last minute or so. Before that neither team could break the others D down and all 3 tries came from kicks. In the 1st half Hudds had an 89% CR and Wigan had a 91% CR. It dropped a bit 2nd half but was still quality all the way through. Watch it if you can on Sunday night.

I didn't think the game was that good. It was better than some of the garbage being served up on Sky recently, but it wasn't a 'must watch' at all. The attacking play wasn't really there from either side, maybe because of the good defence on show. It was a bit like watching an NRL game I guess.

I couldn't understand the signing of Jamie Simpson when it was announced and I'm questioning it even more after tonight, it was as if Simpson and Amos Roberts were having their own personal competition for worst player on the field. No doubt he will be out of the team when McGillvary is fit next week, but you have to question the wisdom of bringing someone like that half way around the world.

It's so damaging for the English game to see good young talents like Michael Lawrence and Jermaine McGillvray make way for average players like Simpson.

Unfortunately coaches feel they have to justify having an import in the team by selecting him.

I think both were injured tonight, Huddersfield also had Joe Wardle in the centres for his first appearance of the year. To be fair Nathan Brown has never been afraid to drop imports if British players are outperforming them, it's just quesitonable why he brought Simpson them over in the first place.

I liked tonight's game more than Wigan's. It was a better representation of what Super League is about IMO, even if there was a try scored from the most blatant forward pass you will ever see.

Fantastic to hear Jonny Lomax star for Saints, hope he gets a long run at halfback now and Saints stick by him for the future.

Disagree totally.

Fridays game was how RL should be played. Both Leeds and Saints would have got nowhere near Wigan and Huddersfield. It may have had more tries in the game last night but that was down to some mediocre defence. I personally think both last nights teams would have been nilled against what I think are the 2 best teams in the league in Hudds and Wigan.

Decent weekend crowds. The only real disappointments were Salford and Huddersfield, although the latter always struggle on Friday nights.

Warrington 82-6 Quins (11,506)

:O

bubble burst

Nah they just ran into a great team where everything stuck and everything they tried came off. Also having Karl Pryce in the centres is never a good idea.

Plan A: Throw ball to bridge and let him run over him. After the third try in about 15 mins he was subbed off.

Good crowd also. There were about 20 or so Quins fans, one Catalans flag (assume on way home from Wales) and the rest were all Warrington fans. Not bad at all.

Time for the annual trip to the pie dome. Hopefully it will be a good game (actually i hope its boring and we win 82-6 again, but i doubt that will happen).
