I've had lousy flights on Tiger, but at least they managed to get me where I was going withing an hour of supposed arrival time without stuffing up the booking every time.

Jetstar are the worst airline I've ever used, and that includes airasia.

Would happily give the jet powered donkey a chance sir.

Only went to fly tiger once.

The day we were supposed to leave was the day the fleet was grounded in 2011.

Luckily we managed to get flights on Virgin.

Exactly. Anyone that knows anything about business knows the rarer a commodity, the more it is valued. Nobody would be paying thousands for diamonds if they were all over the place.

If I ran an NRL club I guarantee I could get rid of some of the sponsor slots without the club losing a cent.

Oh god this is so laughable I think I just pissed myself. You? Running an NRL club?

Make it stop. Please. Make it stop.

I like the synergy - it's exactly like a casino. Ugly, huge, and damaging everything it comes into contact with.

I didn't say to get rid of all jersey sponsorship.

Just the big one right in the f**king middle of it.

It does not pay good money. That is a myth.

Getting rid of that one would make the other slots more valuable and it would sell more jerseys. So the real value of it is far below whatever $ figure a club gets for it. And it pales into insignificance next to the increase in tv rights.

AFL clubs get 7 figures for jersey sponsors without having a stomach sponsor or a sleeve sponsor. Reducing the amount of sponsorship available on an NRL jersey would make the real estate more valuable.

And that's before we get into the indirect benefits. Making our jerseys look more like jerseys and less like billboards would make it more appropriate as casual wear. Which would increase brand visibility for the clubs and the sport. That in itself would do a lot of good.

This is just such patent BS it is difficult to know where to start. I am ASTONISHED at your stupidity masked in arrogance.

If it was so simple and easy to increase sponsorship revenue by lowering the number of sponsorship slots (increasing scarcity), it would have been done already. And there is proof out there. The Sharks don't have a major. First thing, jersey sales were steady on the back of this; they did not increase nor decrease based on there being a company on the front, so there goes your first theory. Secondly, why would any company pay major sponsor rates for the what is the essentially the profile of a minor sponsor? You have to meet the market, there is an expectation in sponsorship departments that a major sponsorship of 7 figures gets you prime real estate on the jersey along with website/signage/apparel/media stingers etc etc. They want more, not less for their money, but you'd just tell em to suck it up right?

All your business acumen that you gained by being an overweight, unemployed shut in who trawled footy forums for 20 hours a day are really coming to the fore.

On a whole, jersey designs have improved massively in the past few years.

Bottom three would have to be Storm, Broncos and Titans.

Rabbitohs, Panthers, Sea Eagles, Tigers and Raiders could be improved but are still quite good.

The rest are spot on.

lol I had the exact same thing. I was flying down to Sydney for the Dragons v Knights game at Kogarah. Fortunately my brother rang me and let me know what was going on so I managed to get another flight.

5 days later they managed to send me an email saying my flight had been cancelled. Yes, 5 days after the flight was scheduled lol

Never again. Virgin, QANTAS or nohing
