Cowboys minus JT, Morgan, probably Hess and possibly Cooper,
Vs
Storm minus Cronk, Smith, Chambers, probably Slater and possibly Kafusi.

Nothing like watching two top clubs go at while it missing a bunch of their stars.

Which dullard is responsible for scheduling what would have been a heavyweight clash during an Origin bye week?

Dragons v Eels is fine as it's barely interrupted by Origin. And you could have foreseen as much.

But Storm (Slater, Cronk, Smith) vs Cowboys (Morgan, Thurston)?

Absolute dolts of the highest order.

The Cowpats might look nice and secure in the bunch of teams on 18 points on the ladder, but if they lose this reserve grade encounter in Bleak City, they will then have to play the following week for their 7th position, with half their side (the good half) backing up, against a team that is not only fresh and rested but who haven't lost since April.

Storm at home I reckon.

A team "who haven't lost since April".

Or we could go with:

"A team that is 6-7 and has yet to beat a current top 8 side".

All about perspective I guess.

I dunno, but I think looking at their halves, I think Cows would be better off bringing Ponga in to the 17 at FB, and moving Coote to the 6.

I'm going to go the Cows in this one - simply because, in the words of one of LU's most informed posters, when I go through the Storm line-up, "Ive never even heard of these f**kers until now"....

You know we're coming.

You are thankful you don't have to play us until the finals.

But your fear is still palpable.
