Wade 25* off 90 balls trying to set up a chase in a series decider. Fmd

His real failure was not rotating the strike. No good going the tonk and getting out after 50 balls. But he should have looked for more singles and twos. Even 40 or 45 off 90 gives us a bit more hope.

Even another 50 runs and we would be a very remote chance. Fcking gutted. Will never get a better chance to win in India.

Yeah we will. Next series over there is when? Renshaw and Handscomb with cricket under their belt over there, Starc, Cummins, Haze potentially all fit. Marsh brothers lynched. A real wicket keeper. Warner potentially retired. Probably a few changes to the Indian side.

We came far closer than anyone predicted with a side that is a mixture of shithouse and never played in India. With a better, more experienced side we're a huge chance.

Riiiight. Okay, thanks for coming.

Dude, he might be a troll, but that doesn't mean he's wrong. There was absolutely no point going out and slogging while Cummins was still there. Where they both failed was not rotating the strike. They needed to score more, but not by going the tonk. They needed to manipulate the ball and they didn't do that.

Wade was rubbish, but going the tonk would have been just as rubbish.

Cummins ended up surviving longer than most of the top order but Wade, though shit, was still the best equipped to play with more intent. Anyway, if we had a top order we'd still be batting and this would be a moot point.

Yeah but imagine they got 20 more singles and 3 or 4 twos between them? That's almost 30 extra runs right there...Cummins is less to blame than Wade who, as the senior batsman, should have been looking to rotate the strike more. It's not as though he wanted to protect Cummins given how he treated Lyon.

Indian updater on cricinfo: 'India will want to own this day by getting thru til stumps without losing a wicket.' I reckon their tailend batting and rolling us for 130 odd might have made it their day already
