Of that is in fact true, the NRL is a bigger f*cing joke than I ever realised.

How any professional sporting administration could justify a player going from $400k to $85k borders on aiding and abetting fraud.

I just can't believe they would be so brazen.

Well Newcastle have already paid him about $90000 for this season. So he's gone from about $350k to about $170k. It's a drop, no doubt about it, but as most on here have noted he was severely overpaid at the Knights. So it's actually probably closer to his true market value now

It's different in this scenario because Sims is homesick unlike the two examples above. That factor would of played in the NRL's decision to green light the move. If they didn't I'd imagine the RLPA would complain about player welfare.

Yep. Hes deadset average... but the fact that Broncos play by different rules to other clubs is beyond a joke.

James Roberts. David Mead. Korbin Sims. Benji Marshall.

These guys have absolutely no loyalty to the Broncos to be willing to sacrifice huge money. They have families and rent and bills just like the rest of us.

Yet we are expected to believe they will all knock back double and triple the money other clubs are offering to play for next to nothing at the Broncos.

Apparently it takes $6million contracts to get a player to consider leaving.
